Calling all dogs and cats in the Miramar area, Florida! Our Miramar veterinary clinic, located in the Monarch Lakes Shopping Center at the corner of Miramar Parkway and Monarch Lakes Boulevard, is here to provide high-quality veterinary care for pets in our community.
Beyond routine check-ups, our services include wellness exams, vaccinations, dental cleanings for dogs and cats, spaying and neutering, pet x-ray, microchipping, ear infection treatment, and more.
I have been taking my two cats, who are a little over a year old, to this location mainly for their neutering procedures. Both surgeries went well, and I am grateful to the doctors for that.
I enrolled in their wellness plan, but during visits, it appears to be additional issues are always found, leading to recommended treatments and medications. Since my cats are young and healthy, I would appreciate clearer explanations about why these are necessary. When I ask questions about these treatments, the responses feel a little brushed off or not explained too well, and the conversation tends to focus heavily on pricing. I do appreciate the transparency about costs, but it is mentioned so frequently that it sometimes takes away from discussing the actual treatment.
Appointments often involve long wait times. Even when I arrive about 15 minutes early, I do not get checked in until the scheduled time, and after being placed in a room with no service, I have to wait over an hour (this has happened to me more than 3 times). While the lack of service is not the clinic’s nor staff’s fault, it makes the wait feel much longer even though I understand they run behind of their schedule.
About staff hospitality —some seem to be friendly, while others seem disengaged. I have also experienced some communication challenges, which may be due to a language barrier at times, as not all staff appear fully comfortable explaining certain treatment details in English.
Overall, I do really appreciate the care my cats have received so far. However, I do not plan to renew the wellness plan, as it feels unnecessary to continue paying over $100/per month for two cats who are doing very well.

Terrible service! Please tell me how the vet prescribes a medication for my pet that cannot be stopped abruptly and then doesn’t provide a refill script. Are you kidding me?! This place is a joke. I came to this Banfield as a back up to my regular Banfield. I will not be coming back to this location.

WORST SERVICE!! My cat has been a client of Banfield Pet Hospital for over 3.5 years, and the service has been consistently disappointing!! From an assistant handling my cat aggressively (and justifying it by saying she’s allergic to cats), to repeated disorganization with appointments and medication pick-ups, every visit turns into a frustrating experience.
Most recently, I had to go back multiple times just to get a simple prescription, despite paying monthly for their plan and being willing to pay for all services.
This clinic shows a complete lack of respect for clients’ time and pets’ well-being.
Absolutely DO NOT recommend this company!!!
