- MDMichelle DSep 15, 20251.0This is a terrible place who vaccinated my cat (found on the street about 5-6 months old) and when we asked before the vaccines, if she could be pregnant, they said, no, she probably just gained weight bc she had access to food, and guess what? She was pregnant and gave birth to four little kittens, one of which had cerebral hypoplasia (due to the mother being vaccinated while pregnant). When I confronted them, they said it’s not like they give pregnancy tests, even though I had specifically asked them what they thought bc her stomach was larger and her nipples were too. They were not empathetic and just plain cruel, I left before I could make a scene and took my kitten elsewhere for care. They tried to follow up on the phone which just led to a blame game. Just to be clear this happened in 2020 (so the staff is most likely different) and my disabled cat is healthy and thriving, thank goodness I am able to provide 24 hour care… Tried to continue to charge me and not even let me cancel my care plan with them. We had moved on and tried to put this terrible experience behind us, BUT I received a text from Banfield, asking ME to leave a review, hmmm after all these years, well ask and you shall receive!!!! So as I cannot speak to the current staff, I wouldn’t take ANY chances. It doesn’t let you give 0 stars or believe me I would have.

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
What kind of appointment do I have?
• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
• Drop-off appointments: If you have a drop-off appointment, we will communicate a time to drop off your pet. Keep your phone nearby and we’ll call you when your pet is ready for pickup.
• Optimum Wellness Plans® Virtual Visits: If you have an Optimum Wellness Plan and scheduled a Virtual Visit, you’ll save valuable time and get quality care from the comfort of your home.
