Veterinary medicine can be challenging since many diagnoses rely on blood tests, visible signs of pain or discomfort, and clinical judgment. Beyond that, there is often a degree of educated guesswork involved. In my experience, the staff has been caring, professional, and committed to helping pets as much as possible with the information available. I appreciate the effort they put into evaluating and treating animals, and their dedication to doing what they believe is best for our pets.

Mi perrita Sasha fue schedulada para limpieza dental a primera hora de la mañana, ella sufre una enfermedad cronica( epilepsia) para la cual lleva tratamiento puesto por los veterinarios de Banfield por años. Este tipo de patologias requiere ser intervenidos en primeros turnos quirurgicos por su condicion. Asi lo recalque y deje mi mascota confiada que seria cumplido su examen bajo anestesia durante la mañana. A la 1:30pm mi esposo llamo para saber como habia salido la perrita y el enfermero le informo que aun no habia sido llevada al salon porque la doctora estaba en una cirugia complicada. Habian otros doctores en Banfield pero solo la Dra. Perez podia hacer la limipieza dental? No hay lista de prioridades para anestesia y turno quirurgico en pacientes con enfermedades pre-existentes, creo que no. Asi las cosas decidimos recoger la perra y no realizar el procedimiento por todas las horas de ayuno a la que se habia sometida la mascota sin necesidad. Le canalizaron vena periferica por gusto y ni una llamada recibi de Bandfield para darnos una disculpa por las molestias ocasinadas y estres sometido a la mascota. En fin he decido moverme a otra clinica. No recomiendo este lugar. Esta experiencia fue en la clinica ubicada en Miami Plaza Alegre, 2601 SW 147th ave Miami Fl 33175

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
What kind of appointment do I have?
• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
• Drop-off appointments: If you have a drop-off appointment, we will communicate a time to drop off your pet. Keep your phone nearby and we’ll call you when your pet is ready for pickup.
• Optimum Wellness Plans® Virtual Visits: If you have an Optimum Wellness Plan and scheduled a Virtual Visit, you’ll save valuable time and get quality care from the comfort of your home.
