  The doctors and staff at Animal Eye Guys are truly excellent…knowledgeable, compassionate, and clearly dedicated to the animals they treat. Unfortunately, the wait times are consistently very long, which can be frustrating and stressful for both pets and owners. If the scheduling and flow were improved, this practice would be outstanding (5 stars).

  My trouble is that they don’t update on Google that this location is not open on Wednesday’s and Thursday’s. It was really difficult to get through to anyone at all of their Sth Florida locations - after multiple tries, Fort Lauderdale lady picked up and told me they are short staffed and they rotate vets. Bird Rd location will be closed on Friday. I needed an urgent appointment but they were not able to accommodate us, the lady on the phone expressed zero concern for how serious my dog’s eye problem is (happened very fast, she’s only a 4lb Yorkie). Given that they have 5 locations, and I was willing to drive up to any - needles to say I was disappointed. I called around and Dr Tucci in Homestead was the only one that understood the problem and she’s making room for us tomorrow at 8am. It’s a long drive from Miami Beach - but we are going there with a grateful heart

  My dog had a burst cataracts and glaucoma, her eye was is extremely bad shape. We took her to the “eye vet specialist” and they charged us $600+ for medication and some basic tests to diagnose the issue and told us to come back a week later. a week later it’s SIGNIFICANTLY WORSE, im freaking out and she definitely looks like she needs the eye removed. i pay another $300+ at the follow up appointment just for MORE medications that’s don’t seem to be doing anything to help and are told to COME BACK IN 8 DAYS FOR SURGERY. next day her eye is terrible, we take her to another vet and they had it removed the same day and we paid $1000 less than what animal eye guys told us we’d be paying with them. please find another vet! these people do not care about your dog they care about their profit and selling useless medication. if we d have waited a week to bring her back, she could have died of a spread infection.
