  worst grooming we have ever had. they charged extra for brushing but sent him home wet and we he dried he was a mess and they clearly had not finished his grooming. his head was full of knots and tangled and looks like they forgot to trim it. we will not return

  They are too understaffed and overworked to accomplish the tasks that are advertised. Hire them some assistance so that they can actually brush teeth, brush coats, and trim nails and paw pads. These things never get done and it’s absolutely not the associates fault, or even management. It’s corporates decision on how many people are staffed and how many appointments get booked. Help your workers and watch your turnover rate decrease dramatically. Signed continually unsatisfied customer of petco corporation.

  I mainly wanted this bath appointment to get my dogs nails clipped because I was having family coming into town. I had never been to a Petco to drop my dog off before. I was very nervous dropping him off for a bath and not being able to stay with him, he is my emotional support animal. I dropped him off at 1245pm. My dog does not like getting his nails clipped and I did write sometimes he does a low growl saying to stop. They did tell me Petco has a no growl policy so if he growls once they will send him home. I dropped him off at 1245pm. By 2pm I was getting even more nervous because I did not know 1 bath and nail trim would take this long. I ended up calling at 215pm to check on him. They said he was in a kennel drying from his bath and they were not able to clip his nails because it was stressing him out. That was 1 long bath with no nail trim. I was a little disappointed as family would be here the following day. At 215pm on the phone they told me to wait another 15-20 minutes before picking him up. Holy cow that's a very long time that my dog had to be gone. When I went in to get him, the receptionist was holding another dogs leash waiting for the owners. My dog was still in the back. The receptionist had Taco Bell sprawled out all over the computer area/desk. If my dog would have jumped up and ate that he would of gotten really sick. I went and paid before getting him. The cashier said how much did I want to leave for a tip. Pretty much not giving me the option to not leave a tip. I never even met the pet stylist or talked with them. I only had an encounter with the receptionist who wasn't over the top friendly or helpful when I said I've never done this before. When she brought my dog out he did seem more stressed then when he went in. He smelled better and looked a little better then when we went in so I guess that was the only upside. He didn't even look at me the whole car ride home. After we got home, he wanted nothing to do with me. My emotional support animal. He went in his dog bed and shoved his face into the wall and stayed there for hours. I'm not sure what happened to my dog back there but I will not be returning. Plus the bath was still almost $50 even with a 30% off coupon and no nail trim. Ridiculous.
