- BRBella RayhaOct 27, 20251.0Had an appointment today at Petco grooming for my dog. When I brought her in they asked if she had any medical issues and that they needed a vet note allowing my dog to get groomed. My dog is perfectly healthy so I called the vet to talk to them since they told me that would work for them. The vet said they have never had anyone ask them for that. When I tried to pass the phone to the Petco groomer to speak to the vet she had rolled her eyes and sighed. The vet had then told me it was suspicious and I should probably take her to another groomer since Petco groomers kept stating how many deaths they have had recently. I was extremely concerned and was shocked about the amount of times the Petco groomers kept stating that they have had a lot of deaths from pets there. I found it extremely unprofessional. I asked her why this wasn’t made aware when I made the appointment since my dog has been there many times before. She said that it was out of her control. There attitudes were extremely unprofessional and rude. I was waiting for 45 minutes to see if my dog to get groomed. I decided on not getting her groomed there for concern of her possible dying. The groomers names are Christina and Lisa. Very disappointed.
