This Petco is pretty much like any other, but the 5 stars are really earned by the grooming staff. They are all wonderful in handling my dogs, especially the one who is difficult and resistant when getting a nail trim. Tiffany is absolutely the best, but the other groomers there are all kind, friendly, and professional as well. It's easy to see that they enjoy what they do.

This place use to be amazing. Let’s start with Sarah and Rachel they do absolutely NOTHING while the team is struggling and backed up. I sat inside for 10-15 min as the register employees kept asking them to retrieve the crickets I paid for. Both Sarah and Rachel were by the fish tanks laughing goofing off while customers were needing assistance. Both of them looked at me multiple times and didn’t say a word seeing me waiting there for some help. Finally the gentleman on the register named Jake got tired of asking and seeing them not help anyone and came from behind the counter to assist me and get my crickets himself. Jake you rock! Sarah and Rachel need to be fired! They’re the reason I started going around to pet supermarket. Terrible service by those two employees. Laughing and goofing off next to a fish tank instead of assisting your team is crazy. Then had the nerve to walk past Jake and I after he assisted me with the crickets and still not one word but surely was laughing and still not speaking or assisting anyone.

** If you’re looking for the one chain store you don’t mind using, this is the one. Obviously I don’t know the behind the scenes, but: This petco is my favorite chain pet store. I love their grooming department- (Shout out to Kassandra, Chip loves you!) The bettas are always in clean water and larger cups than normal (obviously a tank would be better but given the industry their situation is a step up. Better than other LFS in the area!). The fish section is always clean. Rarely ever any dead ones. Their plants are solid. And the small animal section is always clean and smells not like a zoo. I can safely say this as today I traveled to Petco and Petsmart in Viera— they smelled horrible, plants dying, bettas sad and dirty. I visited another LFS today and their betta section was abysmal. Love this hammock landing location.

I brought my dog Zito in for a simple bath. He is the sweetest dog in the world, gentle, affectionate, and he has been groomed many times in different places without ever having a single issue. To my absolute shock, they refused to groom him and claimed he was having a “hysterical fit.” This is simply not consistent with his temperament or his history. He has always been handled professionally and calmly elsewhere.
If I had read the reviews before going, I would NEVER have taken him there. The grooming reviews are overwhelmingly one star and consistently negative. On Yelp, the rating is 2 stars — that alone should have been enough of a warning. I deeply regret not checking beforehand.
The staff was rude and dismissive, and the manager was completely unprofessional. Instead of trying to handle the situation with competence and care, they labeled my dog and turned us away. It felt like laziness and lack of training disguised as “behavioral concern.”
Frankly, I believe God protected my baby from something worse happening there. If this is how they treat a calm, well-socialized dog, I do not want to imagine how they handle animals behind closed doors.
Petco Melbourne grooming is poorly managed, poorly reviewed, and clearly not equipped to handle dogs with patience and professionalism. I strongly advise pet owners to read the reviews carefully before bringing their pets there. I certainly wish I had.

Went to get some Neon Tetras today and I could not have been disappointed more. Asked how many and what species of fish I already had.I said mostly tetras and a small angel , about 15 fish. All small. I have two filters and live plants.I had fish most of my life and I'm 68. Refused to sell me fish. Manager reluctantly helped out and said I should start with four. I just removed 8 small fish out of the tank which was thriving.I said no guarantee was necessary < i can forgo that part. I said please no scrawny fish!!. She bagged up 8 in a hurry and really without looking handed me the bag. 2 were really scrawny and one had a caved in belly. I couldn't get what i wanted to purchase , whats with that. Pay for something I don't want . They had plenty of nice fish, they just didn't care at all. Very poor and doubt I can go back there. I never lost one fish since I set my tank 6 weeks ago. Plants doing well too !. I mentioned I did weekly water changes as well. Too bad
A follow up . I did call the number the "owner" gave me to discuss further. Its just a regular Petco line , the girl said someone will call you, Didnt you ask me to call you, Bottom line no call , no service , very poor overall> Again
