I have had a wellness plan with Banfield for years. When my baby girl died suddenly in her sleep, the clinic sent me a lovely card from all the great folks who had cared for her over my three years in Florida. I just adopted a sweet Staffy and he is on a Banfield plan.

This is the worst vet ever my dog had a big red tumor that popped out of her stomach that was bleeding. It looked like a giant blood blister when I brought her in all they did was tell me they need to operate to get a sample they wouldn’t tell me it looked like anything specific potentially cancer. Nothing like that two weeks later after I brought her in to see them she started urinating blood. I called them to see if I could bring a sample of the blood because it’s a 40 minute drive from my house. I thought maybe it could potentially be a urinary tract infection which would be an easy fix. They told me to bring the sample which I did and then when they saw it, they told me they wouldn’t run the culture and I had to bring her in. Because the sample had blood in it, which is exactly what I told them on the phone. My dog is nine years old. She hates driving in the car If she does have cancer, I’m not even sure she would survive the stress of the trip. They could’ve easily run the culture I was willing to pay for it

They have become absolutely trash. I've been on their "plan" for a few years, the bill keeps creeping up, they get away with less and less... I just got back from picking my dog up, after dropping him off for a dental cleaning at 8am. Vet told me I should've come earlier, they operate on a first come first serve basis, despite the fact there were dogs checking in after me. Ever since they split off from PetSmart and have become their own entity; your pet has just become a number to them. They don't care. They're following the same pattern as "Big Pharma" make sure you don't just "yes" along with all their vaccines. Feed your animal healthy food and attention. Finding a new, smaller operation this week. Avoid at all costs. I'm not even getting into stories I've HEARD from other customers.

The worst experience over price and the front desk is rude, 650.00 for an x-ray of the paw!! Wow, and 75.00 just to tell you it's needed! Dam I love my dog but these people missed the bus, watch out.

I have had coverage with Banfield for over 7 years, it was only last week I found Myself in desperate Enough to have my husband walk in without a scheduled appointment …my little 20 pound poodle had spent three days vomiting was not eating or drinking… After a few hours, I called the center to find out the status I was transferred from the front desk to speak to a doctor Heather Decker Acker, Where I was met with words like “ I have eight or nine dogs here I’ll get to it” !!! Taking the higher road I apologised for coming across overly concerned about my pet… yet there was no acknowledgment from Dr Ackerman leading me to be concerned about the Service, my pet was receiving…in my absence. (Keep in mind the plaque Hanging behind the receptionist desk that states “ sick animals will be seen first”)… If Dr Acker is that overwhelmed, then may I recommend more staff…..To deal with owners and their family members because that is what our pets are..this will be my last year of coverage with Banfield I have to trust where I leave my pet with.
