I like the staff and vet. However, I feel that the services are way overpriced. I prepaid just over $400 for my dog’s spay as an add-on to her wellness plan. The day of her procedure, I was provided an estimate of $100 for her pain meds and e-collar and was told it could be more if they found that she was in heat during her procedure (she was not in heat) I was also told I’d receive a call if the estimate was to go up because of that. No call was received until her surgery was done and was informed the cost was over $300 because she was overweight by 5 lbs in the abdomen, requiring an assistant to physically prop her during her surgery. No warning for this. I expected to pay $100 on top of the already prepaid amount of over $400 and ended up with a cost almost as high as the surgery itself. The cost was brought down to $257 after I mentioned that was not an amount I was quoted. She’s my first puppy so I blame myself for not doing my homework but I don’t plan on doing renewing her puppy plan because of this.

Highly recommend not to take your dog to this location. Staff are very well untrained and very rude to their customers.

Usually took my dog to Banfield in South Florida when living there and everything was great. This location made me wait over 20 min WITH an appointment so I walked out and left. Peoples time do not revolve around vets.

I finally left Banfield Largo. I used to love them, but as vets left, I had horrible success there. I called one morning because my dog woke up and couldn't walk, her back legs wouldn't work and she appeared to not be able to see. I feared she had a stroke or something. When I called, they told me they were too busy and couldn't see her. I understand emergencies happen, but the lady was terribly rude in a time of crisis.

Dr. Schimmel squeezed me in (Thanks to Carrie too.) on her surgery day to see my 3 y.o. female Siberian Husky, who was having a very serious issue. Dr. Schimmel eased my anxiety & did not minimize my concerns. My daughter & I left the facility being able to breathe 'cause our precious pet was going to be okay. Thank you Dr. Schimmel & Carrie.
