  Amazing little hospital located in Petco at Lakeland FL! Very knowledgeable, quick to evaluate and get things done just the way I like it very friendly staff! Thank you Dr. McKelvey for helping my Jasper!

  About 6 weeks ago my cat, Midnight (15 years old), came down with, I suspected, a Urinary Tract Infection (UTI). His first ever medical problem. It was a Saturday and everywhere I called appointment schedulings were open for 2 weeks out and beyond. I happened to come across Petco (online) in Lakeland, FL and there is Veterinary Services right there in the store, called Vetco. I was able to get an appointment set for the NEXT DAY! On SUNDAY! The store itself is HUGE and the Veterinary Services is located at the back of the store. The place is immaculately clean. I didn't have to wait long and the Receptionist placed me (and Midnight) in an Examination Room. The Vet Technician, Kevin, came in and weighed Midnight and we talked about why we were here and what to expect in terms of costs for treatment, etc. Kevin has a great personality, positive energy, and really cares for animals, I could tell. After all was said and done, tests confirmed Midnight did indeed have a UTI. Medicine was provided and a followup appointment was set. The followup appointment revealed Midnight's UTI has cleared up, which is great! The Doctor called me 4 days later. The initial (secondary) urine extraction, which is clear of the UTI, showed a possible problem with his kidneys upon further examination (too much protein in the urine). This tends to happen as cats get old. Anyway the Doctor suggested treatment and a change in his diet, special for kidney issues. I would go back to this Clinic to continue Midnight's care but I live in Haines City, FL and it's a long drive. I'm choosing to take Midnight to the Humane Society for treatment, which is a LOT closer and the fees are somewhat lower. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Vetco for the veterinary care of your pet! Like I stated above, I found this place immaculately clean, the Techs REALLY care for animals, and the Doctor (I wish I could remember her name!!) is thorough with the exams and follows through with getting back to you about lab results. I can't say enough about how much I liked it here. I wish I lived closer to Vetco!!

  Staff is extremely friendly and helpful so it made it easier to trust them with my fur babies! we were tended too swiftly and we will definitely be regulars. Thank you!

  The vet and staff were so knowledgeable, kind and quick. My previous vet typically kept us waiting for at least 30-45 minutes waiting on her and then she would hardly say anything about my dogs. Plus I save a little money. Win win situation with Vetco. I was worried but so happy I made the change.

  Dr.Katherinne McKelvey and her assistant Kevin Santiago we're absolutely amazing the best I've ever had at any vetco this will be my favorite location and I shall return to them again and again they really care about your dog they make sense when they're talking to you and they take the time with you that you need my dogs are doing so well after seeing them thank you thank you
