Uncaring, greedy vet. They charge 1,000.00 to remove a tooth from a dog!!! And I watched them refuse care of a stray injured kitten. They just want easy pets to treat and all your money. And they leave my cat in his carrier all day with the drop off appointment, he comes home covered in his own pee and poop. They REALLY don't care about your pet, it's all about money to them.

We have been going to this hospital for over 2 years. Things have been ok and I do like that they have a monthly payment plan for vet care. However, there is minimal vet bedside manner and minimal connection between the multiple vets and assistants and my dog. In addition, there have been a couple of times that lack of communication between vets and front office staff has resulted in issues regarding my dogs medication. In addition, there have been times when they were supposed to call the pharmacy but did not. It’s hard to believe that a vets office lacks basic patient care, communication skills, and failure to follow up. Very disappointing

NEVER ANSWERS THE PHONE. Hard to make an appointment because they don't answer. They always seem TOO busy & except for routine appointments, I really can't say they help my dog. They check-in/waiting area is too close & pets & owners are all over each other. More like in the hall with benches instead of a room. It was an afterthought. Like Ops, forgot to plan in a waiting room when planning the building. Too close for comfort. I've decided they are too busy & don't need my business. I'm looking for a new vetinarian.

UPDATE: Once again I have had my appointment changed bt the Lady Lake location. According to the manager the appointment is not cancelled for tomorrow it only needs to be a drop off since they only have 1 vet on staff that is in surgery everyday, every morning and cannot see clients in rooms until afternoons and depends on openings available. Or they can reschedule for another appointment with a vet in a room for next available, which I did once again. So I'm now on the 3rd appointment, but haven't been cancelled just rescheduled. My frustration level is overwhelming. It has done absolutely no good to talk to them on their disrespect, my time is just as valuable.
For over the past year, maybe longer, its very frustrating dealing with this location. Always to busy, short-handed and over-booked. Several times I simply wanted nail trims and could not be accommodated. Once I was told to come in before 1pm and when I arrived was told sorry we can't help you. Always when you call your put on hold for an extensive time only to be pushed into a voice mail system, so you must hang up and call back again. When making an appointment(s) when booking for several pets, only to be called a week or more later and be told the appointment(s) need to be rescheduled. My frustration level is over the top 😤 . I wanted to post some photos showing being on hold for over 20 minutes then pushed to voicemail. But had no option to do so.
Frequently Asked Questions About Banfield Pet Hospital

What preventive pet health care services does Banfield offer?
We believe that preventive care is the most effective way to keep your pet healthy throughout all stages of life. Our pet hospitals offer many preventive care treatments, including:

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
What kind of appointment do I have?
• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
• Drop-off appointments: If you have a drop-off appointment, we will communicate a time to drop off your pet. Keep your phone nearby and we’ll call you when your pet is ready for pickup.
• Optimum Wellness Plans® Virtual Visits: If you have an Optimum Wellness Plan and scheduled a Virtual Visit, you’ll save valuable time and get quality care from the comfort of your home.
