I originally went to Banfield in Oakleaf because my newly rescued 8lb Yorkie accidently ate some of my chocolate chip cookie. I was freaking out. I just took her there on Sept 25th for a full exam, and didn't really know where else to go. Although Banfield does not do emergency services, I at least expected the tech to offer insight on where I could take my dog to seek emergency services. I left with no info other than to call pet poison control, and no direction locally and immediately. My friend with me called Banfield off Monument, because he has great experiences there with his 2 dogs, and it was a completely different scenario. I can't remember the tech's name we spoke with, but she was so super helpful and treated this situation as the emergency it was. She took the time to look up my Wellness plan and informed us that BluePearl Pet ER works with Banfield wellness plans with a one time free emergency consult. This one phone call relaxed me so much because now I had help and a direction to go towards. She was so helpful, that I'm going to schedule all of my appointments at this Banfield in the future, even though this location is 16 miles out of the way. It's worth the extra drive ❤️❤️❤️

To start this off, I am not one to leave a review- especially not a negative one. I brought my kitten in about a week ago after I adopted him. He was having issues with urination, which were known prior to adoption. When I brought him to this banfield at regency, I mentioned my concerns to the tech as well as the doctor, the doctor told me that "he's a kitten" and it was "probably normal" and that his physical exam was "completely normal." I was instructed to just monitor him and no interventions or testing were recommended even though urinary blockages are very common in male kittens. Three days later he started to have worsening symptoms and something told me to take him somewhere else and have him checked. My mom called banfield for me to find out what we could do through them and they expressed to her that I did not voice any concerns which is very false as like I mentioned, I told two people my concerns with his urination. This morning, I woke up and my kitten was in distress, severe pain, and unable to urinate. I immediately took him to the emergency vet and they were astonished no one had looked at his genitalia and seen that his penis was (very clearly with a thorough examination) unable to be retracted and that his abdomen and scrotum were filling with urine. We had to have him sedated and they had to make an incision to get a urinary catheter in place. Ultimately, we had to take him to UF gainesville animal hospital where he is going to have surgery later this week. My mom called banfield again, to update them on what was going on and wanted more information on the exam they did and why when I expressed my concerns I was dismissed and offered no testing, they informed her that I was in fact offered a urinalysis and denied it. I want to repeat that when I went there, I was not offered any sort of testing after voicing concerns to two members of their team. This place seemed okay at first but after looking back at the events over the last week, they gaslit me and my mother as well as it seems lying in their charting about what was discussed at the visit. Other than the lack of physical exam, I feel most distraught over the dismissal of my concerns and then lying about it in their charting. Thankfully, as I mentioned, the vet I took him to this morning was able to stabilize a situation that could have gone very poorly and that could have been prevented.

They did NOTHING For my babygirl, and lied about everything. I was done dirty. I came, because my late best friend that died swore by the place. They did not do ANYTHING I asked, which included examining her fully. All they did was comb her for fleas, brought a sample, and lied to me. No one should be demanded to do a stool sample, and NO ONE informed me her sample was OK; they said they would call me almost TWO WEEKS AGO. I am broken from this, and I need retribution for the lies, lack of a FULL exam, and being pushed to do a sample I never wanted to do in the first place.
