I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Fyfe and the staff at Pet Doctors of America.
After three weeks, two other veterinarians, thousands of dollars, multiple medications, and severe allergic reactions, I was at my breaking point trying to help my dog, Daisy. The other vet ultimately told me the solution was to cut off her ear, which felt extreme and heartbreaking.
As a last-ditch effort, I called Pet Doctors of America for a second opinion. The woman who answered the phone was incredibly kind, compassionate, and understanding, and somehow got us an appointment the very next morning — on a Sunday. That alone felt like a miracle.
Dr. Fyfe saw Daisy and had her in surgery by 1 PM the same day. Not only was the surgery successful, but he was able to save her ear completely. The entire experience was calm, reassuring, and professional — the exact opposite of what we had been going through.
Dr. Fyfe was gentle, honest, and clearly not motivated by upselling or fear tactics. He explained everything clearly and treated Daisy with so much care. His vet tech (I’m so sorry I forgot his name — tall, blonde, and incredibly kind) was just as amazing. He was patient, loving, and truly treated Daisy like his own.
The cost was extremely reasonable, especially compared to what we had already spent elsewhere. Daisy is now two weeks post-op, her stitches are out, she’s healed beautifully, and she’s back to her happy, energetic self.
I would recommend Dr. Fyfe and his team to any pet owner looking for a veterinarian who genuinely cares, who won’t push unnecessary treatments, and who prioritizes your pet’s well-being over profit.
I am beyond grateful to Dr. Fyfe and his staff for their kindness, honesty, and exceptional care during one of the most stressful times as a pet parent. They truly went above and beyond.

My dog is 10 years old and has never had behavioral issues with people, though he does experience fear at the vet like many dogs do.
During our first visit for vaccines, my dog was taken into a separate room without asking me first. This had never happened at any previous veterinary clinic. During a blood draw attempt, he fear-bit a vet tech. I apologized and felt horrible, but the way this was communicated to me felt abrupt and blame-focused, without any discussion of what may have contributed to the situation.
I rescheduled his appointment, and he was prescribed a high pre-visit sedation protocol (gabapentin and trazodone). At this appointment, he showed no signs of aggression and was extremely subdued. Despite this, staff required two muzzles and appeared very fearful of him, even though he was barely moving.
Even while double-muzzled and heavily sedated, my dog was held down on the floor with significant physical restraint in order to administer vaccines. He reacted briefly out of fear, not aggression. This level of restraint felt excessive given the circumstances, especially since I was present, he was not escalating, and it was physically impossible for him to bite.
Additional testing was not completed due to continued concern about aggression, despite the sedation and muzzling. Throughout the visit, the tone toward both me and my dog felt tense and lacking in compassion. The vet made it clear no discussion was going to be had about why that happened and how we can better move forward.
I fully acknowledge the seriousness of a bite incident and take responsibility as his owner. However, fear-based reactions require low-stress handling. This experience was traumatic for my dog and for me.
The veterinarian did answer my questions and was kinder once the appointment was over, and test results were returned quickly. However, based on our experience, this clinic may be better suited for small and non-fearful dogs. Owners of anxious or fearful dogs may want to seek a practice experienced in fear-free or low-stress handling.
Photos attached show my dog before restraint and immediately afterward.

Dr. Silvers care routinely goes beyond veterinary visits. She followed up with texts after appointments, checking in to make sure our pup was well-cared for. When it was time to say goodbye, she and her staff came to our house to be at peace in a place he felt safest. Her compassion in that moment will stay with our family forever. Pet Doctors has consistently gone above and beyond time and time again. Our pets become family and it was always comforting to know that they were well loved and cared for by the vet and staff at Pet Doctors.
