I would like to give a big “shout out” to the grooming crew at the Dynasty Drive location in Fort Meyers for helping me take the gum off of my poor dog‘s foot after we went to Home Depot. They were so kind and took care of me right away. Poor Christi and I didn’t know what to do and they were so helpful Makayla had no problem handling “Christi” she knew that they were helping her… Thank you! I have been a “ Petco” customer for many years and have always had wonderful customer service no matter what location I visited

I just wanted to come on here and shout out Colby for all of his hard work!! I was waiting to be checked in yesterday and saw him get bit by a dog like it was nothing! He still was very respectful and the man was yelling at poor Colby and I feel like it was just not right. No one should get yelled at after being bit by a dog!!!
Colby has been doing my dog Xiu Xiu for over a year now and I’ve never once had an issue with him, he is always kind, professional, and very patient with my anxious little baby. Xiu Xiu gives him kisses and is always so excited when we are turning into the Forum. It is like he knows! They are always so sweet to him and give him lots of love and treats.
The store and staff are always so wonderful and helpful, I’ll always come to this Petco for all of my needs. I’ve never thought to write a review before but seeing that interaction yesterday just made me think we need more positivity and less negativity out there!! Poor Colby deserves a raise!!! Xiu Xiu says thank you Petco!

This review is directed to Colby, and I sincerely hope district management sees this and reevaluates their hiring and training standards.
I have been a loyal customer at this location for over seven years, and until this incident, I have never had a single issue. I brought my dog in for a routine nail trim and buff—something we have done many times before without problems.
From the moment Colby approached my dog, his behavior was unprofessional and inappropriate for a groomer. Without asking for my consent, he immediately grabbed my dog’s face. Any trained groomer knows this is not the correct way to approach a dog, especially one you do not know. My dog reacted instinctively by growling and became visibly nervous and began shaking. I clearly explained that my dog gets anxious, yet Colby attempted to touch him again without permission and continued handling him in a way that made both my dog and me uncomfortable.
After I tried to calm my dog, Colby abruptly stated—with a rude and dismissive attitude—that he would not provide the service and told me to take my dog to a veterinarian. This was not based on any legitimate issue, but rather his own inability to properly handle or assess the situation.
He also questioned my dog’s rabies documentation, despite the fact that all records are consistently up to date and already in their system, as confirmed later by the manager. This further demonstrated a lack of familiarity with basic procedures.
I repeatedly expressed that I did not feel comfortable with how he handled my dog. Instead of addressing the concern professionally, Colby escalated the situation himself by walking away to get a manager—even though I never asked for one and was prepared to leave quietly and take my business elsewhere.
The manager, who was respectful and professional, confirmed that my dog’s information was fully documented and offered a solution by assigning the groomer who normally works with my dog. Unfortunately, while I was speaking with the manager, I could clearly see Colby behind the glass making faces and speaking about me and my dog. At that point, any remaining sense of trust was completely gone.
I no longer feel comfortable bringing my pet here. When you entrust someone with your animal, you expect professionalism, empathy, and proper training—not hostility, poor handling, and disrespect.
Colby needs serious retraining in both customer service and animal handling, or he should reconsider working in a role that requires patience and care with animals. What happened to me could easily happen to another customer, and not everyone feels empowered to speak up.
It is extremely disappointing that one individual was able to completely ruin an experience that had been positive for seven years. This issue deserves escalation and accountability. I wish I could give 0 stars because 1 doesn’t justify this person.

I called made an appointment and told him that I had a prepaid package. They continued on with saying I had five more packages and when I got there the next day to take my dog to groom, they failed to show me the paper where it says the estimate of the grooming instead you showed me one side of the paper saying that I agree and And proceeded to charge me when I came back to pick up the dog I spoke with the manager of the manager, unfortunately wasn’t any more of a help as this is failed billing practice Come to find out they the company Petco does not do prepaid packages. It’s PetSmart, but yet they have led me to believe that I had five more when I booked the appointment over the phone.

Went to Petco for the first time in a while and they didn’t have what we were looking for. I had recently placed an order for an automatic shipment of some of our most common products and for whatever reason, Petco shipped one of my items from my order, which way cat litter and then cancelled the food order! I was very annoyed because I had a 40% off coupon on my first shipment, then 30% and then it would be 20% off from then on moving forward. I figured I would try it because of the large 40% off initial order, but naturally they shipped the $20 item and then cancelled the 2 bags of $80 dog food and the $45 cat food bags. Seriously, that’s why I placed the order in the first place was to save the $ on the larger ticket items.
So my husband and I went into the store to see what happened and to see if they would honor the price in the store. Not only was the associate rude and extremely unfriendly, he was very unhelpful! It was almost as if he didn’t believe me when I was explaining what happened with my order. After some time of looking through my emails, I was able to pull up my order and of course he saw what happened and didn’t even offer to make it right. He didn’t want to give me the discount on the items in the store nor did he want to honor a sale price for an item online that was cheaper than the store price. I asked if he could check the stock of a life jacket for our small dog in a different size than what they had in the store and he refused.
I don’t usually post reviews, but I was extremely disappointed with our entire experience at this store and won’t be returning. To top it off the bathroom was disgusting and looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned in a long while - just gross! No toilet paper, no hand towels, no toilet liners and just filthy sink, floor, toilet and it had a sign in the bathroom stating they value cleanliness and customer satisfaction
