I have been using Lemon Bay for three years now and they used to be amazing when Dr. Lopez was there. I have four small dogs two of which are young so I had them spayed and neutered at the spay clinic which not only saved me well over a thousand dollars but I felt more confident with tiny dogs being fixed their especially after the id bracelet was left around my dogs neck when he was neutered at lemon bay. So, surgery goes well and I call my regular vet, lemon bay, for a post surgery check. Not only did the lady argue with me the clinic will do it (they do not) she was adamant because the shelter did hers. Then after numerous times explaining they only do the surgeries she finally, after putting me on hold again, agreed to schedule an appointment. Then proceeded to tell me they have nothing until Mid December! That is absolutely unacceptable! It was 3 days for an appointment two weeks for a rabies shot where the vet did a full examination. I just wanted the incisions checked maybe 5 minutes for both. I have not only taken all four of my dogs for all their shots and checkups but also got their prescriptions flea meds etc through them. It only took five minutes to find another vet who can see them in less than a week! If they are so busy they can’t check one of their patients then my pups then I will take them to a place that actually cares
Update: the phone message was the previous day which was never returned. I have the automated text from both messages I left prior to speaking to someone. If there was any confusion it was your employee relaying what was said to you as I was extremely clear! She even argued because when she “ moved here” she had her dog done at the shelter and they did the after visit. Which I again explained this is the spay/neuter clinic not the shelter. She even questioned whether they need to see a vet if stitches didn’t need removal; as if she has the medical degree and it was her decision! Downright rude, and when I said I would look for another vet who can accommodate my four dogs she said “GOOD”. So there was absolutely NOT a miscommunication

My small dog had an annual along with Rabies shot and another treatment. The Vet was great as was the Tech. Check out was smooth, and the price was great.

Sky, our bird and beloved family member of 15 years, passed away due to what I believe was severe negligence and failure to respond to an emergency at Lemon Bay Animal Hospital. We brought her in urgently for a life-threatening condition (egg binding with prolapse). Despite repeated pleas to the front desk that this was a critical emergency, my husband was forced to wait over an hour before the veterinarian saw her.
The doctor confirmed the severity acknowledging that her reproductive tract had prolapsed and she needed immediate care. Instead of triaging her properly, the doctor stated he “had others to see.” This lack of urgency, professionalism, and empathy was appalling. The surgery was performed too late, and though we were told she made it and just needed to rest, she died less than an hour after being sent home.
This experience was traumatizing and heartbreaking. I truly believe that if she had been seen when we arrived, as ANY medical professional should do with an emergency, Sky would still be with us today. Lemon Bay Animal Hospital has lost our trust forever, and I urge other pet parents to think carefully before placing their animals’ lives in these hands.
