Dr Abel Lera is kind, very knowledgeable and he actually listens and takes a lot of time with you regarding any questions you may have. Our 10 years old Cavachon just went through bladder stones surgery, and we are so grateful for the outcome and excellent care that Dr Lera and his whole team provided for my baby boy Blaze We can’t recommend him enough!!!

Normally Gemini (American Bully/pitbull) Doesn't like her vet visits but today was definitely different and for the first time she was actually happy going in and going out which was a big surprise to me . He really takes the time to thoroughly explain things and connect with the animal so they feel comfortable with him. He is an XL American Bully and looks intimidating but is the biggest baby and Lera treated him just like the big baby he is. The staff was kind and welcoming and very easy to communicate with both on the phone and in person. We will definitely be back and recommending to friends.

The staff was not only professional but also incredibly kind and attentive 🩷 Zola was treated with so much love and patience. The veterinarian was absolutely amazing, taking the time to explain the diagnosis, answer all of my questions, and ensure I felt confident in the next steps for Zola’s care. Everything about the visit was efficient, yet I never once felt rushed. It’s rare to find a place where both the medical expertise and genuine compassion are so perfectly balanced. I am beyond grateful to have such a dedicated and friendly team taking care of Zola. HeronLakes Animal Hospital has truly earned my highest recommendation.
