I brought my cat, Max, in for an appointment yesterday, March 15th, and he was seen by Dr. Milena Greta Goranova. I have been bringing both of my cats to this Banfield clinic since they were kittens, and I have never had a negative experience until this visit. Unfortunately, this appointment was extremely upsetting due to what I felt was rudeness, lack of professionalism, and a complete lack of empathy or willingness to explain anything regarding my cat’s condition. Both my daughter and I left the appointment confused and honestly shocked by the interaction. As a pet owner bringing in a sick animal, you expect a veterinarian to show some level of empathy and to help you understand what is going on with your pet. When Dr. Goranova entered the room, she sat down and immediately stated that my cat needed an X-ray before she could do anything further. After saying this, she simply sat there and stared at me for what felt like several minutes without providing any explanation. It became very uncomfortable and awkward, so I eventually said “okay?” to prompt more information. She simply responded “okay” back and continued to stare. I then asked if she could please explain a little more about what she believed was going on. The last doctor we saw at this clinic had previously told me that my cat had a loose knee. Dr. Goranova responded by shaking her head and stating that my cat did not have a limp and looked perfectly fine to her, and that she believed he had muscle atrophy. I then had to ask her to explain what muscle atrophy meant, as I am not a doctor. Her response was simply that it means “the muscle has been atrophied,” which did not actually explain anything. The entire conversation was delivered in a very rude and dismissive tone. Even after asking again for clarification, I never received a clear explanation of what this meant for my cat or what the next steps should be. She then recommended that I see a radiologist for imaging, which she said would cost over $500. I asked why the previous doctor had told me it would be around $300, and her response was simply that she didn’t know and that maybe something was not put into the system. Overall, I left the appointment with no real answers and feeling like the visit was a complete waste of time. I have never filed a complaint before, but I could not leave without speaking up about this experience. I would not want other pet owners to go through a similar interaction while they are already worried about their pets. After several sarcastic responses during the appointment, Dr. Goranova eventually left the room and never returned. The veterinary assistant later came in with the Gabapentin, apologized, and kindly provided me with your contact information. He was very helpful and professional, which I appreciated. There is honestly more I could say about this experience, but I will leave it here for now. if i was able to leave zero stars for just Milena Greta Goranova i would. Rita in the front is always super nice and the assistant that attended us was nice also. but the most important part of the visit was horrible horrible experience.

Someone stole my cat and brought her here where they administered a rabies shot and re-registered her with 247 pet watch without contacting the RIGHTFUL owners of her. I would truthfully give them 0 stars if I was allowed to.
