- EEEbonyApr 18, 20261.0I had a very disappointing experience at this Banfield Pet Hospital location on 4/18 primarily due to the front desk customer service. We were told we were late for our appointment, which they claimed was at 8:45 AM—but I have a confirmation showing 9:00 AM. Instead of resolving the confusion, Cynthia at the front desk was dismissive and rude. Our appointment was also supposed to be in-room due to my dog recently having surgery, but without any notice, it was changed to a drop-off. My daughter was told she had to leave him, which was not what we agreed to. When I called for clarification, Cynthia was short, unhelpful, and at one point hung up while I was still speaking. The same attitude continued when I came to pick up my dog. Customer service matters—especially when it comes to trusting someone with your pet. Unfortunately, this experience fell far below expectations.

They ran bloodwork again and said everything was fine, diagnosing an obstructed anal gland and sending him home with medication. By May 12, his abdomen was still severely swollen. I was told it was part of healing, but after I insisted on more testing, X-rays were done and bloodwork was repeated. This time, everything came back abnormal. I don’t understand how results could go from “completely fine” to critical in just three days—especially since an emergency clinic later confirmed he had advanced, metastatic cancer. I reported this to corporate and was told someone would contact me within 3–5 days, and he never did My dog has since passed away. I’m heartbroken and extremely disappointed by the lack of care, misdiagnosis, and follow-up. No pet owner should have to go through this.
