I would NOT recommend this place for care of your family member. My pet was taken here because he wasn’t eating due to diabetes, he was in the hospital for four days and came out looking more sick than when he went in. He was acting fine overall when we brought him to the hospital, just lacking an appetite. I took him home for one day and he was throwing up water, he looked terrible, they just bloated him with fluids. He still wasn’t eating while in their (so called care). When I went in for a visit he couldn’t even stand. I’m completely disgusted! I ended up having to put my angel to sleep because he was suffering. Please if you run into the same problem with terrible care, I beg of you to file a complaint with the CT Department of Health/Veterinary care. The forms are not user friendly, you need to fill the paperwork out as if your pet is a human patient.
Document everything you can. These places need to realize they cannot treat your family members this way and get away with it!

Took my cat in for an eye a jury with my spouse. When we got there we were told that it will take a three to four hour wait and that we were not allowed to leave and will not be let back in if we do. I found this ridiculous, but for my injured animal we made due. My spouse and I came directly from work and because we were busy did not have anything to eat all day. They took our animal and left us in a small stuffy room with the most two uncomfortable chairs. We thought since we were in a room the vet would see us early and we waited four hours with no notice from anybody after. I finally left the room and asked if they had a vending machine to reception. I was told no, I then asked what is the status of my animal and was told the vet was dealing with a critical case, but I could wait in the lobby that is less stuffy. So we did and finally met with the Vet a half hour later.
Overall the Vet was fantastic, but to leave guests in a stuffy room for 4 hrs with no update is absurd and to not have options such as a vending machine to accomodate guests who have to comply with a no leaving rule is inconsiderate. Additionally there was no one else in the waiting room and no other cars in the parking to emergency.
Overall if you are coming here make sure you bring snacks and your phone is chraged, because it will most likely be a long wait and will be up to you to get updates.

Had a great experience. The wait was not long and they took my dog right in. Explained everything thoroughly! Thank you for everything you do!

why are there reviews sourcing back to over a year ago about this rude receptionist yet she is still there upsetting people to this day? what's going on with that? does her dad own this place or something? i had the misfortune of encountering her today. this is a place that should have compassion and empathy for people going through situations that involve visiting an emergency vet. what makes you think it's okay to have clients deal with your reception desk's sour attitude problem on top of their sick/dying animal? absolutely insane to still have this woman working here making already heartbroken people feel even worse. I will never not feel guilty about bringing that poor kitten who had been hit by a car to spend her last day on earth here. it absolutely breaks my heart to think about that baby being surrounded by the cold, uncaring people who work here in her last moments.

Couple night ago a went to this place with my French bulldog because she was having difficulty with her back legs. I call first before I arrived there .who ever answer was really nice and informative so it make me feel really comfortable to bring my baby in .. when I arrive the nurse who attended me was really nice she took my baby inside and let me wait in the waiting room.then 10 minutes later another nurse approached to me and told me if she can put a infection for pain to my baby because she is with a lot of pain I agree.she came back asking me if I had any type of insurance I said no.I explained to her how everything start and that I google couple information and it said it could be ivdd witch is common on frenchies.she told me she had to Frenchies and she been thru that situation and she had to crate her frenchie for 12 week .that my Frenchies was going to be okay and went back inside.couple minutes later come out again a brought me to a room and told me Doctor is coming to talk to you she is really good Doctor and left.the doctor comes into the room and gave me 2 options for my frenchie after she explained what it was which I was right it was ivdd.the 2 options it was do surgery which cost $15,000 or bring her home with meds and not a lot of chance she was able to walk again and because Lost her sensibility on the back I have to press her bladder so she can pee and I can look videos on YouTube to learn how to do it .the came up with the 3 option put it to sleep and also told me the she was no take the time to do x-ray because she already new her stage of the pain.she walks out the room and gave me couple minutes to think .the not even a 1 minutes later the previous nurse who told me she when thru the same situation with one of her frenchies and had her crated for 12 weeks.came to the room and told me best decision if I love my baby put her to sleep.Be at it requires a lot of time and treatment.i ended up put her to sleep .the came with my dog she was almost out of breath when I brought her there she was completely normal just her to back legs not working.after I took the wrong decision to put her to sleep because I felt pressure by the nurse and Doctor .a 3 nurse came with all the papers and the bill no even gave me the proper time to think if that was the best decision to make and have time with my baby she stay there until I gave her my debit card so I say to her I’m going to pay cash and she answer to me that’s if fine money is money .give it to me so I can process the payment.me all nervous and crying gave her the amount.the other ones came process with everything to put her to sleep let me say good bye for less than a minute.bring me the wagon that I brought my dog in and goodbye we call you when the cremation is ready for you.this place just want money they don’t have empathy or nothing. When I arrived home I start searching information about ivdd I could bring my dog home with meds and crated her for severals week and a proper care and therapy she could live a healthy life even with a back wheelchair for her..now I regret the decision I took because I was basically push by all the nurse and doctors to do it.so be careful where u takes your pets not all the vet works because they care and loves animals . This place is just for the money .and one last thing doctor gave me the the best last option the she thought that it was good for my dog .after the ask me if I apply for care credit and I told the I was not approved and the budget that I had at that moment.when I did all the search I could pay less that what I pay to put my baby to sleep and have her her with me with medications.big mistake I made listening to them .now I regret and I would not do it again with the frenchie I have left.
