On my most recent visit, I looked online before driving to the store to ensure that a particular product was in stock. At the store, the price was $3 more than the online price. I pointed this out to the cashier and she said she would "match the price"? Why should a Petco store have to "match" their own online price? Shouldn't the two prices be the same? On a previous occasion, I ordered an item online for in-store pickup, but when I got to the store, I discovered that the in-store price was cheaper than the online price. I'm not interested in shopping at a store or on a store's website where I feel like I have to police their pricing in order to get the best deal. Stop playing games with your customers and make your prices consistent between the store and your website.
