Now that my daughter is older, and has health issues, he still has going there, and they are very careful to make sure he doesn’t over extend himself. I’ll note that I booked months in advance. At 3 pm on the day I was to drop my dogs off I got a call that I needed to drop my dogs off by 3:30, since the kennel closes at 4. I explained I live 30 minutes away and couldn’t get there till 3:45 but didn’t understand why the website let me select 4 pm if that was late. The woman said she didn’t know but that if I showed up at 4 (my CONFIRMED drop off time) I’d be charged a late fee. I said I absolutely would not agree to that. In the end I got my dogs there by 3:45. A manager wasn’t available to talk when I got there but Katherine called the next day when I was going through TSA. I said I’d call back, which I did the following day and I spoke to Tim. He agreed with me that I shouldn’t be charged a late fee and said he’d talk to his staff. When I got back from my trip, which was long and exhausting from a red eye and flight delays, I was met by Katherine at the boarder in a huff. She said she needed to talk to me. I asked if we could talk another time because I was exhausted from my trip and just wanted to take my dogs home. She insisted we talk right then and proceeded to demean me, calling me a rude customer for sticking up for myself. She said I owed them money and then haughtily corrected herself that they owed me $27, which I never received. They also deleted my account. I highly recommend you only use VBK if you can refuse to interact with Katherine. How she became a manager is beyond me but they lost my business after how she treated me, in front of my children no less.
