My experience at Banfield Pet Hospital (Manchester location on 1520 Pleasant Valley Rd) has been extremely concerning from start to finish.
I brought my two dogs in for what was supposed to be a routine visit on Monday the 13th. From the moment I arrived, there was a lack of communication and organization. I was called into the room around 5:30 PM, and by the time I left, it was close to 6 PM, yet I was given little to no clear information about my pets’ visit.
I recently signed up for a plan, and to this day, I still do not have a clear understanding of what my plan actually covers. I was not provided with any paperwork at the time of the visit—only told that everything would be emailed to me. That email never came. The only thing I received was a generic welcome email with no details about the visit, treatments, or next steps.
What is most alarming is that I received a call from a veterinarian claiming he had seen my dog twice before and is now stating my dog tested positive for Lyme disease. This was the first time I had ever been to any Banfield location, and I have never met this veterinarian before. The records being referenced are clearly incorrect, which raises serious concerns about accuracy and patient safety.
I have attempted to contact the location multiple times to get clarification. Each time, I am told that the general manager is “busy assisting the veterinarian” and that I will receive a call back. That call has never come. At this point, it feels like my concerns are being avoided rather than addressed.
At this point, I need to speak with someone higher up. I spent nearly $400 on both of my pets to receive nothing but poor service, lack of communication, and conflicting information.
No one has followed up with me to explain these discrepancies or to properly review my pets’ records. As a pet owner, this is unacceptable. My husband and I both have demanding schedules, and we are not looking to create problems—but after careful consideration, we both agree that we deserve answers.
We expect a full and accurate summary of our visit, a clear explanation of what services were performed, what our plan includes, and clarification on how such a serious medical claim could be made based on incorrect records.
At this point, due to the lack of communication, accountability, and follow-up, I am seriously considering taking further action if this is not addressed promptly.
I hope this review encourages the appropriate team to take this matter seriously and reach out with real answers.

Were helpful and wonderful when my cat ended up seizing and passing away this morning. They got him in as quick as possible, and did everything they could to revive him— did oxygen and cpr on him for nearly 20 minutes, and asked us halfway in if we wanted to continue revival efforts despite the low chance of him coming back. They were comforting and did all they could.
They gave us as much time as we needed to sit with him in the exam room after they cleaned him off and swaddled him in a blanket, and were wonderful as we discussed cremation. I'll always thank them and the front desk worker who talked to me gently when taking my information, and who shared their condolences as we checked out. Thank you for giving me time to grieve my baby and telling us about cremation and paw prints services.

I suspected my dog Jason may have had worms because he had diarrhea and soft poop, but after his visit the Manchester Banfield Pet Hospital it was determined that it’s possible he might be allergic to lamb dog food & snacks. A prescription for probiotics was prescribed to settle his tummy. At present, his poop is becoming more solid. The vet discussed everything with me in order to figure out Jason’s problem.
