I play with the solo ferret. (Whom might I add had a completely disgusting water dish at 830 am..... And then I make my way to the reptiles. Not only is a beautiful tortoise on his side STRUGGLING TO roll over.... But I saw a dead baby bearded dragon. Who haD NO EYEBALLS. Lord knows how long that innocent baby was there. After reaching out to a very kind and compassionate gentleman who helped both the tortoise and removed the deceased baby bearded dragon. I also learned this specific bearded dragon is automatically generated to this location. Management places an order for a "special" bearded dragon who 1. Cost about 20$ more than the "normal" bearded dragons....2. these normal ones are sent prematurely. They are easily half the size of the "special" ones. These bearded dragons should not be sold at such a fragile state. Nevermind the fact you have 3-9 in a small glass cage. Those tiny ones are FOOD for the bigger ones. I will be emailing corporate about my family's experience and help educate on the proper care for these innocent creatures. Then he was tossed to the trash like a piece of garbage. And none of them are. Petco should be ashamed and stop sending premature creatures to make a dollar. They don't deserve that sort of suffering!
