  I’m not one to usually write reviews but what I saw today genuinely disturbed me. There was a brown poodle looking dog who was getting groomed and as I was waiting in line, I looked over and saw the groomer (long dark hair and I believe she had piercings. about 5’3, please fire her) aggressively “ear plucking” the fur out of the dog’s ear to the point where the dog was crying in pain. She twisted the clamps multiple times and was using genuine force to rip out the fur. I cannot emphasize enough that the dog was very clearly crying in pain and shaking while the groomer kept shaking her head in annoyance at the dog. I counted three separate times she reclamped the fur and ripped forcefully. I unfortunately was waiting in line to check out and couldn’t avoid hearing or seeing what was going on — genuine animal abuse. I understand that ear plucking is a common grooming practice, but it should absolutely not be painful for the dog or performed in that way. If I could call out the groomer by name, I would. she should never work with animals. a grooming experience should not be painful for the dog. uncomfortable at times? sure. crying and shaking in pain? absolutely not. I ask anyone thinking of bringing their dog to get groomed here to please consider what I’m saying first. as for the manager or owner who is reading this review, I beg that you take this seriously because what I witnessed today was seriously unethical.

  Awful experience You advertise puppy play for 8 weeks and older and then don't let 9 week old puppy play because they don't have rabies vaccine. It is illegal to have a rabies vaccine before 3 months in CT. 1 hour round trip for nothing and it took 40 minutes to be told. So either get it straight or change your advertising.

  Staff is friendly. Had to exchange a dog collar with was simple and easy no hassle or questions asked, they even said I could return the dog food I bought if my new dog would not eat it.

  The lady that helped me with I needed to get helped me so much I’m very thankful she had two different plots ion her hair and piercings the lyoung lady at the register was also a delight she was awesome so sweet so kind just enough talking I had a very good experience at petco I’m sorry I don’t remember there names please give them both a 5 star review Ty
