- RIRock N' Rescue IncNov 19, 20252.0We brought our 2 dogs to have their nails trimmed and had no issues previously. As a rescue we were then shocked when the groomers said there was now a mandatory "check" on the dog prior to the nails. We explained that they are fine when restrained but are protective of us and get spooked if u just randomly grab at their paws. Most small dogs have this issue. One groomer just snapped at us then stormed away. We were being honest and open and the dogs were not just a little upset by her grabbing at them. These are rescues and they just need patience. The second groomer then said hang on... took a bit of time... but finally came back and said she would try one. It was easy and done. 2nd dog was now very agitated but she was patient and it took no more than 5m to trim his. Other groomer pouted the whole time and manager helped ZERO. I don't know the name of this 3rd woman who groomed but she saved this experience - she deserves 5 stars but the other 2 under zero. Was stressful for the dogs and that made me stressed and upset and no apologies from others even though the dogs were exactly as we told them they would be - easy if just on the grooming table...
