  We brought our corgi in for a nail trim, teeth brushing, and a trim, specifically a trim. The groomer was Liz. Instead, his body was cut extremely short. While he was not completely shaved, his double coat was taken down far more than requested or appropriate for his breed. Corgis have a double coat, and it is widely understood that shaving or cutting them this short can negatively impact coat health and texture. We were never advised of this, nor were we consulted before such a drastic cut was done. Had we been informed that this would be the result, we absolutely would not have agreed. While we appreciate that we were not charged for the service, that does not undo the damage done. It will take an estimated 4–6 weeks for his coat to grow back, and there is concern it may not return to its original condition. Beyond the physical appearance, this has been upsetting as pet owners who trusted your grooming team to understand breed-appropriate care. Additionally, after this experience, I reviewed this location’s Google reviews and was concerned to see multiple negative comments regarding grooming services. This suggests that our situation may not be an isolated incident, which makes this even more troubling. I attached before and after pics
