However, it is somewhat regrettable that the Stapleton Banfield, which is closest to my house, has had a problem with near constant turnover at the vet position going back a few years. I was turned away from a scheduled appointment about a month ago b/c no vet showed up to work at Stapleton Banfield that day and the location did not open at all.

They were able to see us without an appointment within 10 minutes, were very kind and friendly, and her paws were fixed with no issue. Thank you so much, Karli!
- DLDebra LucasJun 7, 20251.0Trying to get ahold of Banfield in Thornton and the phone lines say they are closed today, June 7th. They are not closed according to Petsmart. The Petsmart clerk went back to tell them the recording on their phone says they are closed, and the Banfield person called me back and said we are not closed according I told her the recording says they are and they need to get it addressed. She said she couldn’t do anything about it. She was only there filling in from another store. Wh ast us wrong with the help these days There seems to be no accountability in helping the customer. I would have thought the clerk At Banfield would have said “oh no that’s not good, I’ll report it immediately “. But no she answered that she couldn’t do anything about it. I finally got the Dr to call me back and he said he would report and address the phone lines.
- DADanna AriasJun 5, 20251.0After my recent experience with banfield, I will never be taking my dog back to them! I would of been better off examining my dog myself. These people did not listen to a word we said about what was going on with my dog, and the paperwork they sent us home with did not mention how severely sick he was. I called for a follow up and that's when they made me think I brought him home to keep him comfortable. After getting a 2nd opinion from a group that truly cared about my dog we learned that he still has a fighting chance, banfield would of had us bury him! Staff at this location are also very rude, I called them for my dogs records and it was like pulling teeth with a nasty attitude.

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
What kind of appointment do I have?
In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
Drop-off appointments: If you have a drop-off appointment, we will communicate a time to drop off your pet. Keep your phone nearby and we’ll call you when your pet is ready for pickup.
Optimum Wellness Plans® Virtual Visits: If you have an Optimum Wellness Plan and scheduled a Virtual Visit, you’ll save valuable time and get quality care from the comfort of your home.
