Sarah and her team were amazing! The service ethic of the group was obvious. We have done other sled dog rides in the past and this was far superior! We were engaged with the dogs, given responsibility for our team and sled, and given excellent coaching all along the way. We were a family group of 5 adults and 3 girls 8, 6 and 4. The older girls were on their own sled with a guide, which was a very special experience for them. Our 4 year old was reluctant, but Sarah handled the situation perfectly! I can’t recommend this trip more highly. The trail is amazing, the dogs were responsive, engaged and social. And the staff was first rate. Take this trip! You will not be disappointed.

Snow Buddys is genuinely one of my favorite things we've done as a family in Steamboat — and I brought my 3 and 5 year old. I wasn't sure how it would go with little ones, but Sarah and her team were amazing with them from start to finish. Patient, playful, and attentive, I never had a single moment of worry. The dogs are rescues who found their perfect life — running through the backcountry doing exactly what they were born to do. You can feel how happy they are out there. And when you stop for hot chocolate, they run into the tent and snow around you just wanting to play and be loved on. And then there's the Flat Tops. I've lived here and I still wasn't prepared for how beautiful the aspen forests are in the middle of winter. Don't miss out on joining them for this experience!

The experience of a lifetime, just absolutely amazing! I think it would have been unforgettable with “just” the dogsledding through the gorgeous landscape, but what truly made it perfect was all the care and thought and effort Sarah and her team put into our day. They were all so great with our kids, and the 6 and 8 year old got to drive their own sled (with a guide, of course), they had a blast. Even our 3 year old had a great time, bundled up in the sled her brothers drove, everyone was so good with the kids. The grownups, after a crash course in sledding, got to drive sleds on our own, and it was amazing - and there were always super helpful guides nearby to help. Maybe the best part was all the time we got to spend with the dogs, playing with them and even getting to harness up the teams. Oh, and did I mention the delicious cookies? In short, everyone went above and beyond, couldn’t recommend it more highly.

What an AWESOME experience! My friend and I took a half day tour and ended up being the only sled out that day, but I don't believe anyone would lose the personalized attention from the staff even with other sleds in the group. We were able to spend time with the fantastic, hard-working, sweet dogs before, during, and after the ride. It was easy to tell that they love to run. We were given full control of the sled, but we always were in contact with a member of the staff. They focused on the well-being of the dogs while at the same time giving the human mushers a safe and extremely enjoyable adventure. Don't let a lack of heavy cold weather gear keep you back. Snow Buddy provided everything we were lacking and additional gear that we wanted to just "beef up" a bit. At the midpoint of the ride, everyone was able to rest. We retreated into a large tent where we were give some hot drinks, treats, and time to chat with the owner and the guide. The dogs were unharnessed and given time to wander freely, and some even joined us in the tent for some snuggles. The cost could seem pricey, but it was worth every penny. It's a unique, well-managed experience, and the money provides care for the rescued dogs that Snow Buddy takes in. We also purchased the photo package and are so glad that we did! There were so many photos from beginning to end of the experience - even from times when we had no idea they were being taken. The quality of the photos was incredible! We were also able to take some of our own photos and videos when one of us was in the basket of the sled and not mushing, but we never would have gotten some of the views of us and the dogs with the gorgeous scenery around us without Snow Buddy's pictures. Some of their photos will definitely end up in frames to look at regularly and not just forgotten about on our phones. Such a great way to remember a fantastic adventure!

Absolutely amazing experience from start to finish!!! Worth every cent.... 5 stars isn't enough!! From the first point of contact with Sarah the owner, to the end of the experience with Dan, her husband, we were treated like friends in this first rate adventure. The communication was excellent on directions (we drove ourselves because the roads were clear and the directions were very detailed; if there is snow and/or you do not have the vehicle or experience driving in challenging winter conditions, take the shuttle), gear needed (they have extra supplies), and expectations (for you, the staff and dogs). The staff are super friendly, knowledgable and professional. Everyone ensures you, the staff and dogs have a first rate, fun and safe experience. It is evident the love they have for all the dogs. The dogs are happy, healthy and an integral part of an amazing experience! We had a great time learning about the dogs, sleds and mushing before we started. We were able to take part in hitching up the teams and were supplied with radios to have communications the entire ride. The guides and owner Dan gave constant feedback as we drove our own teams through snow packed trails. The scenery was spectacular!!! We stopped at a "warm up" tent half way through the ride to be treated with delicious homemade cookies and hot drinks. The dogs wandered around and we got to spend some time getting to know their personalities. We bought the picture package and it was totally worth it! They took phenomenal pictures so we could just enjoy the ride and breathtaking landscape. When we arrived back at the base camp, we helped unhitch the dogs and fed them. We selected a few souvenirs and said our goodbyes to end our day. We would 100% return and not hesitate to recommend Snow Buddy Sled Dog Adventures! Thank you soooo much for a fabulous adventure and sharing your dream and dogs with us! We plan to be back next year when we visit Steamboat.
