  We have always liked this Petco but it has changed. I'm really not sure if it is corporate doing or local management but it has just really lost the edge that it used to have. Almost like the prideful people that set this one aside and truly made it special have gone. They used to have a picture board with all the employees and it was normally almost all the way full. Now there's like three pictures on it. The assortment of salt water fish have went from a variety that you were always amazed to find to now Nemo's and Dory's. I realize you have to stock what you can sell but clowns aren't all that great of fish for a tank. In the freshwater they used to have crabs and frogs and loaches plants and a lot of other things. Always something two gaze at. Now it's just feeders and neons with a mix of goldfish and maybe a cardinal here and there. And now with the crickets up in bags on the shelf you get about half of them that are dead. Other than that all the cat and dog shelves are full of items. And they have their guinea pigs and hamsters. With a few reptiles here and there and possibly a bird. And they do keep selling their rescue cats through a third party witch is great. We still come in from time to time and look around and get what we need.

  I went to petco today to get started in owning fish. I went in with not much knowledge but wanting to learn the basics to get started. Simon in the fish department helped me get set up with a tank, rocks, pre care / new tank treatment as well as some driftwood for my natural freshwater tank. Anyone that is new to the fish hobby and wants to go to place with knowledge and excellence in customer service go see Simon at petco. Whatever they are paying Simon to work there they need to give him a raise, one very satisfied customer.

  Went about 6pm on 02/22 wanting to get a small pet for my daughter. I waited 45 mins trying to flag down and employee obviously being ignored. The man working had no problem helping the blonde woman in the isle next to us. When I went to get his attention he hid around the counter, he sped away. Very disappointed in the way we were treated. Especially feel bad for the animals and 5+ dead fish. Animals were not properly cared for and employees could care less. Absolutely horrible!
