If I could give zero stars, I would.
My dog passed away from cancer in November 2025. I chose cremation, and his ashes were sent to this Banfield location in Littleton. During one of the hardest moments of my life, I called five separate times to ask if his ashes had arrived. Every time, I was told they had not received them.
After three weeks, I went in person because something didn’t feel right. That’s when I was told the truth, the ashes had been in their facility for about two and a half weeks, and they had “misplaced” them.
I cannot explain how upsetting and insensitive that was. This is not a paperwork issue or a minor delay. These are your pet’s remains. Families deserve basic care, accuracy, and respect during grief. Instead, I was repeatedly given incorrect information and left wondering where my dog was.
On top of that, I canceled his wellness plan in October 2025 after being told his cancer was terminal. I paid the remaining balance I was told I owed, and I was told there would be one final charge of $83. After that, the plan was supposed to be canceled.
It wasn’t. I continued being charged monthly because they didn’t cancel it, they set it to “non renewal.” When I contacted corporate, I was told they would not refund the last two months of charges because I didn’t call again to confirm the cancellation, even though I had already been told on October 19th that it was canceled.
Between mishandling my dog’s ashes and continuing to bill me after cancellation, I have zero trust in this location or this company’s processes. In my experience, Banfield operates like a corporate billing system first, and a veterinary clinic second.
Please don’t learn this lesson the hard way. Avoid Banfield, especially the Littleton location, and choose a local vet who will treat you and your pet with the care, respect, and accountability you deserve.

I have been going to this Banfield location for a few years now and when it comes to trust and comfort as a client, Mady and Brian say it all. Both Mady and Brian know me and make me and my dog Riley feel important no matter what. They each offer a special personal touch with how they interact with me and they each never fall short of providing me with detailed information about Riley's care. When I have to leave Riley for the day, I know with them, he's in the best hands. They care and it shows. That goes for the rest of the staff at this location and I've experienced other locations and there is no comparison. I am lucky to have these individuals caring for my "nervous nelly" pup knowing he'll always be looked after. Thank you Mady, Brian and fellow staff for everything you do and the individuals you are. You each make what can be a difficult time a little easier on me and my baby boy Riley!

I have only been coming to your place for the last maybe month. I feel everyone that I have had experience with. They are absolutely awesome people and very knowledgeable. My one puppy has diabetes. And they are helping me get through this in a manner and a language that I can understand and they have been so so helpful. Thank you so much. I look forward to seeing you guys when the time is needed. I don't want to be there if I don't need to be but thank you again so much. You're awesome

We brought our almost 3 year old dog, JoyLin, in for a routine exam. She is always very nervous. The vet and her assistant were very kind and patient with her. The vet got right down on the cement floor and examined her. We worked together to complete a much needed nail trim.

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
What kind of appointment do I have?
• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
• Drop-off appointments: If you have a drop-off appointment, we will communicate a time to drop off your pet. Keep your phone nearby and we’ll call you when your pet is ready for pickup.
