  Booked my dog for a 9:30 grooming, came in at 1pm and all they had done was wash him, and he sat in a cage all day. They took other walk ins instead of finishing my dogs grooming (with an appt) and the groomer said "its company policy to take walk ins over appts". What's the point of an appointment? I won't be back.

  Made a purchase from the Golden, CO Petco and on checkout was told that I would not be given a paper receipt for my purchase unless I gave them my full name and phone number. That's not something we give since it results in spamming our phones. They said they could send me an email receipt if I gave them my email address which I did because this was an expensive purchase. (We can block online spam.) So, unless you give them some of your personal info, you will not get a receipt for your purchase no matter how expensive the purchase and that store is saying they will not accept a return. **Think twice before making a purchase from Golden, CO PetCo store, particularly if there's a chance you might have to do a return or exchange or you don't want to give out personal information.** This review is not a reflection on the staff, however, the store's management should review/clarify their return policies and clearly post those for customers before they checkout. For reference via Google, here's the online PetCo Return Policy: "Petco allows returns within 30 days of purchase, with some stores offering store credit for up to 60 days. Items can be returned in-store or by mail and can be returned even if the food packaging is opened, provided the item is in its original packaging. For returns without a receipt, Petco may be able to find your purchase if you have a linked phone number, or they may process the return for store credit, but this is not guaranteed."

  Honestly 0 stars if I could. I was going to purchase 3 pet sweaters- 1 out of the 3 I was going to purchase was a xs and was priced $12.48 but the same exact sweater for a large dog was priced at $6.48 (obviously a clear mistake). There was only 1 xs left and it would’ve been perfect for my pet. Took it up to the register and asked if the priced could be changed since obviously it wasn’t right compared to the mediums/larges they had. The cashier said no she had to honor what was on the tag. How does that make sense? I feel as though no common sense was used. It’s not like this is a big deal but it’s just the fact of the matter. The part that sucks the most is my mom asked the cashier for the price change and the sweater would’ve been for her 15 year old dog, my mom loved it for her dog and would’ve made her happy to get it for him. Needless to say I bought non of the sweaters just because the principle of it. Super unfortunate considering this was my first and now last time going to that location.

  Great selection of cat food, except they were temporarily out of one that I came for. Very clean for a pet store.
