I cannot say enough good things about Planned Pethood and Dr. Jeff and the ENTIRE staff!!!! We came to them after one of the most traumatic experiences we’ve ever had with our dog. We were told at another clinic that she had cancer that had “obviously metastasized” and were urged to euthanize her immediately while she was still on the table. We were given only minutes to make that decision. Something didn’t sit right, and we made the incredibly difficult choice to say no and seek another opinion. Getting her into Planned Pethood changed everything. From the moment we arrived, the entire experience was calm, thoughtful, and grounded. No pressure, no panic—just clear communication and a focus on what was actually happening. Dr. Jeff took the time to properly evaluate her, completed the procedure, and explained everything in a way that made sense. We are not completely in the clear yet, but our dog is awake, eating, playful, and acting like herself—and we are finally in a place where we can make informed decisions instead of reacting out of fear. We are incredibly grateful we trusted our instincts and found our way here. Planned Pethood quite literally gave us a second chance to make the right decision for our dog. If you ever feel overwhelmed or pressured, go here. They treat both animals and owners with the care and respect they deserve.

From the Moment I walked In the door the girl who greeted me, Melody was her name, was very rude. It seemed like ever question I asked was an inconvenience. I arrived at 7:30 when they first opened. She had a tone with me immediately when asking why I was there. So much so that I visibly retracted and kind of looked around like did I do something wrong. I briefly explained why I was there. I was informed that I would have to come back at 9am for when they start taking walk-ins, which was fine. I did ask just to get clarification of why I was waiting till 9 because I thought they opened at 7:30, and didn't see it on the website that walk-ins start at 9:00 a.m. She informed me that they don't have a vet on site until 9:00am. (So take that into consideration if you're traveling far) I did remark on it by saying Oh, I would've waited to come up at 9 but that I didn't see it on their website. I More so mentioned it as a courtesy of this should probably be something that you put on your website, but not in a nasty way just tried informing them of it not being there. I also informed her that I did try to call ahead of time and she said well we've been closed the last 2 days with a snarky attitude. I responded I know because it's on your website, I called Friday and Saturday and she asked did you leave a message, I responded no. The reason for that is because I had tried that route a couple months ago when I was referred to them by a vet out in Falcon. The vet told me you can try to call before you go up, but honestly I would just get there at 7:30 when they open because it's really hard to get a call back or get a hold of them. I still tried, called left messages didn't get a hold of them or a call back so I just showed up... So per my past interaction with leaving messages and never getting a call back that's why I didn't and just chose to show up. After that Interaction I went and put my pup in the car so I could fill out paperwork without him pulling me everywhere. When I came back in she told me you will have to get him neutered if he goes into any kind of surgery, which I understood because their sign states it on the front door, The sign also states "...or determined by the vet." Which in my situation I have a 10-month-old dog who had broken his leg when he was about 4 months old and I was instructed by The surgeon / vet who reconstructed his growth plate to wait until after he was 1 to have him neutered so he could get all that testosterone for bone growth. I tried to inform her of the information I was given by his surgeon and she was again rude and nasty with me. Saying she's never heard of that. I told her I can get the notes from the vet I had taken him to and even call them. She snapped back at me and said "I don't need to talk to another vet". She said it doesn't matter if you're going to do anything with us and he has to go under he's getting neutered. She continued and said if you're not willing to do that then there's no reason for us to see youandwIst our time. I told her it's not that I'm not willing to, I'm definitely going to. I was just instructed by another vet to wait & you asked the question of this is our policy and If I understood so I just tried to explain some information and background on my specific pet and why he might not fall under that policy. Which should be a normal interaction, but seemed to piss her off that I was telling her it. I then told her I would wait to talk to the vet & inform the vet of what I was told and then go off of whatever they suggested, which is what the sign says on the front door. I did respond to her in a frustrated "I'll handle it" with the vet kinda way because she was being so rude and by this time I had had enough of the nasty attitude. I don't understand when you're the first interaction of all of your guests why you would be so nasty. It sets the tone for your establishment. Thankfully, the vet that I interacted with was amazing and that's the only reason for the three stars. I would recommend asking to be helped by anybody other than Melody.

I'm very thankful for Dr. Stone!!! I have a sickly cat with multiple chronic problems. His list of symptoms is a mile long. Other vets haven't given us any answers and/or wanted thousands of dollars to test for everything under the sun. When I couldn't afford do that, they just referred me out to $pecialists (as if that's going to help). The vet here was able to diagnose and treat him. He needs ongoing care, it's not a one and done, but I feel I have answers and a plan to go forward with now. Just be aware that the front desk can take days to return calls and set up appointments.

We initially chose this practice for our cat after moving to the area and had a great first experience. Communication was prompt, and scheduling was easy. The doctor we saw was wonderful, and we felt confident in the care provided. However, our experience changed when we recently adopted a puppy and tried to establish care. I sent an email with his records and received no response. I followed up with multiple phone calls over four consecutive days, each time leaving a detailed voicemail with my availability and requesting communication via email since I am not always able to answer calls during the workday. I did receive one return call, but unfortunately missed it. I called back within 30 minutes, left another voicemail, and again asked for either an email response or to simply be scheduled. Despite continued daily calls and follow-up emails, I did not receive any further communication. After multiple attempts with no response, we decided to move on to another veterinary clinic in Pine, where we experienced prompt and excellent service. 6 calls and an email to only receive one call back is not sustainable. This review reflects the difficulty in scheduling and communication, not the quality of care from the doctors, who were excellent. I hope this feedback is helpful, as improving responsiveness would make a significant difference for clients.

Everything you do for animals in need is just absolutely amazing. We need so many more animal lovers and vets and staff like you. I lost my boy because we had a vet who only cared about $ and not my baby. Bless you and all your staff for everything you do. 🙏
