  Hands down, the best vet in the valley. I met him when he came to put my cat to sleep. He is amazingly kind and knowledgeable. When the other vet wasn't able to diagnose my other cat, I called Dr. G. He took x-rays and knew it was cancer. He prescribed steroids, which won't cure her but have dramatically improved her quality of life. FYI - When Dr. G comes to the end of the rainbow, he's being buried with the ashes of his pets. Kind of says it all. I wholeheartedly recommend this vet.

  My husband and I truly can say enough about Dr. Richard. When our Golden, Copper, was in excruciating pain, he got him in immediately and broke the news to us that he had a cancerous tumor. We were devastated but his professionalism and sympathy were refreshing. Fast forward 6 weeks and it was Copper’s time to leave us. We texted Dr. Richard pretty early in the morning after a long and painful night with our beloved (nearly 10 year old) boy, and he promptly responded, ready to come to our home in Nathrop and help us let him go in peace and relieve his pain. He was so sumpathetic, professional, and sensitive to our requests and time we needed to say goodbye. The process was effortless and a relief when we saw Copper go so peacefully after weeks of unbearable pain. We’re so thankful for our relationship with Dr. Richard and feel so safe knowing we’ll be able to bring our other pup to him when that day comes.
