The workers are really nice and great. But the way the company itself treats the animals... not so great. The roaches and crickets are either all dead or halfway there. I get they're just insects, but at the same time you need to give them a basic level of care. The animals there have no form of enrichment of any sort. The stores around that are local are a lot better.

I was helped by a man named Jackson today at 4:43 pm and he was a bit rude when checking out he asked who wanted the receipt and when I went to go reach for it, I had my fingers even on it. He went past my hand and waved it in mine in my partner’s faces proceeding to ask again who wants the receipt.

I had a very uncomfortable experience with one of the employees here. Also had quite a few dead fish in the tanks.

I want to repeat what a lot of other people have said, it's absolutely a good thing to want fish to be taken care of properly, but another to be on a power trip and use aggressive language towards customers. We have a cycled, 5 gallon tank with another tank on the way and were denied a betta fish. We have a heater, filter, live food snd plants, and i have extensive knowledge of fish-keeping, all of which i could have explained was i given a chance to speak. I have been keeping fish since I was 14 and have never had an experience like this. We were denied the sale of a live animal, and were not allowed to come back to the store and buy fish for 3 days (?) The employee said that the fish would likely die if we took it home, (even though, again we have a cycled running tank and any other possible supples) and said she 'hopes it's still there when we come back' very strange. The store is clean, which is good but the customer service was strange and unlike any other store I've been in. I'm confused about why there is this uptight attitude towards betta fish, but not the other feeder fish and feeder animals there just to eventually be used as food. How is that different? Overall, not the best experience.

I am deeply saddened, embarrassed, hurt, and confused after visiting this store... I recently visited this store hoping to adopt a cat and bring home a new companion for me and my husband, and while I’m unfortunately undergoing chemotherapy treatments. This trip was not casual - it was meaningful and emotionally significant to me. I was genuinely looking forward to the experience and to welcoming a sweet addition to our family. While I was there, I met a beautiful black kitty who seemed eager to play. The cats are kept inside small clear enclosures, which I noticed were quite dirty and appeared unsanitary. I had a feather toy in my hand and gently moved it near the small opening of the enclosure. The kitty happily engaged and seemed excited and playful. I was excited to ask a team member if i could meet her in person and potentially bring her to a new home! However, before looking for an employee i a staff member (short, petite, dark hair, multiple facial piercings and tattoos) suddenly approached me in a loud, aggressive tone and told me I “absolutely could not” do that because the cats can easily get sick and a toy could make them ill. I immediately stopped — I would never intentionally do anything to harm an animal — but the way she spoke to me was startling and deeply uncomfortable. It felt far more like being reprimanded than kindly informed of a policy. I fully understand and respect the importance of protecting the health of adoptable animals. However, the intensity of her approach felt disproportionate, especially given that the enclosures themselves appeared unsanitary, which made the explanation feel inconsistent. A calm and respectful explanation would have been more than sufficient. What began as an exciting and hopeful visit became an upsetting experience. Between the aggressive interaction and the mention of the cats being so vulnerable to illness, I left feeling uneasy — not only about how customers are treated, but about the overall environment. As much as I adored that sweet kitty, I no longer feel comfortable adopting from this location. I sincerely hope management reflects on how interactions are handled and ensures both the animals and customers are treated with the care and compassion this setting should represent..
