I’m very disappointed with my recent visit. I was overcharged and I’m not satisfied with the grooming results. Although I spoke with the lead and the charges were explained afterward, I would have appreciated being contacted before any additional fees were added. I was told that two fleas were found (one alive and one dead), but I have checked my other dogs and have not seen any signs of fleas. I was also charged a scissor fee, yet only the ears appear to have been trimmed. Additionally, I specifically requested a round face cut, and neither of my dogs received that style. I would like to discuss a resolution, as this experience did not meet my expectations.

I took my dog here last week to be groomed. After moving her from SC in January she hadn’t been to a place in CO yet. I booked the grooming online where it said it would be $86 and i got a 30% off coupon. It felt kind of steep, but since it’s close to my house and they offered me a coupon i figured we’d give it a try. I go pick her up 3.5 hours after dropping her off and they give me a receipt with 4 barcodes on it; one for a full haircut and bath (which is all i booked her for), one for a “shave and full brush,” and one other obscure $10 charge along with the barcode to tip the groomer which i was happy to do. These notes do not by any means reflect the quality of the groom or the staff who was working because they were all very kind and i could tell were just scared of to do/change anything because of corporate and how they would treat them. This negative review is to call out corporate Petco and the clear mistreatment of your employees as well as the unclear pricing model outlined on your website. No one should be paying $120 for a 25 POUND MINI AUSSIE to get groomed especially at a large corporation. Me and my aussie will be finding a local groomer to give our money to. I know it doesn’t make a difference for me to take my business elsewhere, but I hope others can see this and redirect their business as well.

Alaina informed us at 8PM that the aquatic section was closed and declined to assist us, even though the store’s posted closing time is 9:00 PM. Is it standard for this location to close certain departments early? We weren’t able to find any information in-store or online indicating different closing times for specific sections. We also noticed several employees gathered together, which added to our confusion. We’re simply looking for clarification on how this typically works.

On Apr 3 2026, mybhusband took our dog (12 yr old 8 pound poodle mix) in for a grooming appt with Jackie. Hubby dialed me up so I could participate in instructions on how we wanted him to be groomed. We asked for a medium trim, specifically said do not shave him, he's older and hair on back is thinner, but trim his face and shorten hair at butt for sanitary reasons. Jackie said she understood. She said I'll shape his facial hair. She said it would be several hours. When hubby returned to pick him up, Jackie came out explaining..."well next time we won't use the #7 blade. Our dog was totally shaved all over body face ears legs. When I called her for an explanation she said "He chose the #7 blade" I reminded her we said medium trim and I ask her if #7 blade was for medium trims. She said no, but he (meaning hubby) chose #7. I said to her you are the professional, why would you hear us say dont shave him but do a medium trim...and then use a close shaving blade on his entire body??? I said we're lay people, you are the professional! She continued blaming hubby and the #7 blade. Taking no accountability whatsoever. If she was extremely busy and forgot our discussion, I could accept that, but no she was very unconcerned about how upset I was. I told her my heart is just broken and I don't understand how you went from medium trim to totally shaving him, no hair! Jackie, THERE WONT BE A NEXT TIME!

Me and my girlfriend came in for an appointment we had scheduled for a dog grooming. We dropped our dog off and were told they'd call us 30 minutes before they were done. We came back 2 hours later because usually that's how long it takes in our experience and they hadn't even started yet because they were apparently dealing with another dog. So what's the point of even making an appointment then if they are just gonna get to your dog whenever is convenient to them. Then another hour and 20 minutes go by and finally they are done. We come in and get the bill and it turns out they tacked on extra charges at the very end, which is very shady because what they were charging us for was supposedly included when we booked online. 95 dollars for extremely subpar service. The lady helping us seemed nice but the company itself just seems greedy and understaffed.
