  Garbage. We order online and the store does not want to honor the purchase. Instead we have to call customer service on our on time to cancel an order that they can’t see on their side. No accountability at all. Zero stars

  I’m very disappointed in Petco in Southlands. I went in the other day to purchase some fish for my tank. I have 29 gallon tank and wanted to get some Plattys for it. I was refused service by the young lady. I have been going to Petco for several years for all my pets needs and have never experienced what happened the other day. So I went to PetSmart and had no issues getting fish for my tank and they have a much larger selection of fish. My new Plattys are thriving and enjoying the tank. Petco you should do better with the employee (purple colored hair) and how she interacts with customers.

  Layout is nice and simple to find what pet type. Lots of kitty toys, and treats. Only place that carrys Orijen food and Freeze dried treats without shipping.

  11/4/25 I have been bringing my pup here regularly the bast year and a half for grooming and Peyton was amazing but she isn’t there anymore. I took my dog today and had Logan and was very disappointed. I showed up to pick up my dog and no one was in the grooming area so I went to pay with my slip. I went back in the grooming area and waited still no one there for me to get my pup. I had to get another employee who walked back there and couldn’t find anyone. It looked like Lauren was training someone new and Logan was no where to be found. Lauren got my pup for me and I left he wasn’t even dried all the way and I paid for the deshedding which does make a difference but I could tell that it wasn’t the same service I have received previously. This is sad and I won’t be going back to see Logan. I tried to call and get a refund for the tip I provided but the manager was not there and they told me to call tomorrow. Let me also state that he called me less than an hour after I dropped off my dog. Update: called and talked to the manager of the store. She said she would talk to the manager of grooming. Still waiting for a response from them 11/16/25 2nd update: Lauren was rude because they failed to communicate to each other about my previous experience and how I upgraded to do the shed release and it wasn’t done by Logan. I have been bringing him here for a year so I know the difference and it’s not cheap. She tried to charge me full price again after already talking to the manager Sherri. I told her I wasn’t going to pay full price and she said she could only give me 10% off. I just wanted them to do the shed release because it wasn’t done. It’s clearly managed poorly and I get a rude attitude from Lauren telling me she isn’t doing this again! Yes Lauren you are correct I will never come back here. I am not sorry I paid close to $70 the first time for Logan not to do it correctly and was giving you a second chance. If you do go here only use Barb!

  I buy a lot of saltwater fish at the store. The selection is pretty good the prices are decent but some of the local vendors like Fins Up and Aquatic art are a lot cheaper in price and their tanks are quarantined with their fish with no sand on the bottom and the copper treated. Overall it's been good experiences at Petco can't complain but it's cheaper to go to the local fish stores.
