First time coming to Vetco. Been to my regular vet for vaccinations, (never a problem) however with the holiday I couldn’t get a couple of shots that my dog needed before our trip. So I booked with vetco. Vetco was set up inside the aisles of Petco. No privacy whatsoever. Anyway, I was hoping for the best. This vet and his assistant looked like they just graduated high school. The aggressive way they treated my dog during the shots, holding him down, tossing him around, it made him freak out. Never seen my dog so scared. I asked if I could hold him and they administer the shots. They said for legality reasons I can’t. I asked if they could at least put him on the counter and I could caress his face to calm him down. They finally agreed to that. Got the last shot done. But, now they wanted to take blood. I canceled the blood taking part. They really put him through the worst experience I have ever seen with all the dogs I’ve had. They want me to come back for heartworm preventative treatment. I canceled even though I already paid for that and the bloodwork. Never going back to Vetco.

Would not recommend this VETCO location. I’ve generally had good experiences with VETCO in the past, but I chose this site due to scheduling convenience and deeply regret it. The vet tech and veterinarian both misread our puppy’s vaccination records, insisted she was at risk of dying, and restarted her booster series unnecessarily. Their approach was careless and alarmist, and the veterinarian showed little concern or empathy when we questioned it. I will not be returning to this location and strongly urge others to avoid it as well.

Should advertise that everything is done in the middle of the store.. no exam rooms. Don’t recommend for cats and anxious dogs. Questionable practice. Did vaccines but did not take temperature. Put a fake temperature on the rabies certificate. A big box of vaccines sitting on their table but nothing is refrigerated. Receptionist mixed up the breeds of my dogs, marked my shepherd as a rottie mix even though I said she’s a German shepherd…

The vet and her staff here are so unprofessional. Always sitting around and gossiping. My husky got hurt at night and needed medical attention. None of the pet hospitals were open so we took her to petco for bandages and creams. The vet from vetco that was there wouldn’t even look at my dog when we asked her for consultation on the bruise and how to treat it for the night. She dismissed us completely. Her tone and behavior is so rude. Never going to a vetco again.
