Normally this would be a 5 star review. On this visit, one of many over the years, I took our 62lb, 3 year old, female shepherd mix for a flu booster and heartworm test. Our dog is well behaved with people and well trained. The vet was an older man with whom I have dealt before and was always very pleasant and capable. The flu shot went well. To do the blood draw for the heart worm test, the dog has to be held so it won't move when the vet sticks the needle into the front leg. When the male assistant suddenly dropped down from the side of our dog and grabbed her unexpectedly she reacted and bared her teeth at him. The unexpected aggression by the assistant was definitely triggering. Other assistants had always talked to the dog, made friends first, generally approached her from the front and gently started to hold her. I stopped everything immediately and said that is not going to continue. I did not tell the assistant off, but that is not how to approach any animal. I will use Vetco service again but not if that assistant is present.

Poor customer service. I called with a question about their Veternary Services and the manager hung up on me. Question unanswered

Reception employees do not know what they are talking about both times we came. They sold us the wrong vaccine package and will not let us exchange for the correct one we asked for in the first place. Vets inside are good.
