    Because our puppy is not yet accustomed to the sound of an electric trimmer or razor, I was hoping the professional groomer would be able to perform a manual trim using scissors. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the outcome, as our puppy was not adequately trimmed for the several occasions we will be attending during the upcoming holidays. We had been excited for some time, expecting our puppy to look similar to what was advertised. While I understand that there may be protocols in place from a business standpoint, we were still charged the full price despite receiving only approximately 30–40% of the service. I would suggest that Petco provide clearer guidance to customers, especially new pet owners regarding grooming expectations and the level of training dogs may need prior to a grooming appointment.

    FOR THE FIRST TIME AFTER 5 YEARS OF CERVICE, my furry friend was badly served I can't say the name of the person I chose for cleaning my dog, but I didn't like it and would choose the same person again for next time.

    Had a wonderful experience! My first time taking my dog to this particular store as I’m new to the Hayward area. I was worried, lately I’ve had issues with inexperienced groomers displaying bias and trying to label my dog (pocket bully) as not liking to be groomed. I’ve picked him up half wet, nails not trimmed, etc. with the excuse that he won’t let them. All of this is after one note left in the system from a rude weirdo in the Alameda store (salon manager of all ppl). The person who actually bathed him admitted that she had NO problems, he likes to play in the water and I know with his size they can be an issue. But aggressive he is not! Normally we ONLY see Mikaela but she wasn’t available. Professional grooming isn’t necessary for my dog, I do it for socializing and to save my back. I’m so glad that I gave it another go! Edith was great and my dog, Bowser loved her. He looked fabulous!!
