Best service from start to finish. Every single staff member loves their job and it shows. A special thank you to Quentin, our nurse for the visit. My pup is extremely anxious with new people, so I expected him to act like a circus clown, but when the nurse (Quentin) came in and took over my pup was in GOOD hands. He even was calm for a needle in his shoulder area! I felt like the entire team listened to my concerns and really were focused on resolving the reason for our visit. 10/10

Staff was friendly, but thats about the only positive I can give. From the start, they put us in a room that wasn’t clean, sprayed it down with us in the room, but only cleaned the counter and not the scale or the rest of the room. They had a price chart in there which we were looking at for their package prices only to be told they’re inaccurate and charge more for vaccines and kitten packages. Online it also listed different price points so it all was very unprofessional and unorganized. The nurse walks in who, while very friendly, started going on about how vaccines at mobile clinics cause cancer and they’ve had to amputate 2 cat’s legs this week. That is NOT how you have a conversation with a client, it sure scared us away! When they weighed him the scale was not tared correctly and weighed him a whole 3 pounds less than his real weight. The actual vet was extremely dismissive of my cat, barely listened to his lungs, lazily checked his belly and ears and said he looked good and tried charging me to check for ear mites. I declined all services and was still sent a prescription for a flea topical that wasn’t for his weight and age. The vet took a total of THREE minutes of looking at my cat and walked out. I am so thankful I had a first free visit coupon from Petco because $100 for a 3 minute vet visit is insane. I still got charged a $6 fee for “materials used” when all they used was a pair of gloves and the cleaner spray to wipe down the table. My usual private vet in Atwater was a lot cheaper than Vetco. When I scheduled with Vetco for vaccines it was because I was under the impression it was low cost and stood corrected. Do not bother coming here and go to an actual vet!

Lauren at the front desk and Quinton who initially checkin in on us in the examination room, were extremely kind and super helpful/knowledgeable. Likewise, Dr. Arora was considerate and direct with his instructions on at home care ensuring no confusion on my part. The service and overall experience made me feel my boy (cat) Kaden was in good hands. I highly recommend this vet-clinic to anyone who wants their pet-babies well taken care of!

I wanted to wait a bit before I wrote this review to calm my emotions yet it's been a bit and I'm still upset. I come her for my Cat's Shots and anything he needs. Petco Vet care is my go to for my boy. My latest experience was just awful. I don't know if it was an off day or what but the vet tech Liz had a horrible attitude. She made me feel like such a bad pet parent and I am still mad about it. She asked me what flea prevention he was on and I informed her that the last Vet I saw there said that since he is an indoor cat he didn't have to be on it anymore and she literally sneared and said yeah that's not true. Like? Sorry I listened to a professional?? She then tried to sell me on a flea prevention package and when I said no she just stared at me for a minute, then turned around and said okay the doctor will be here in a minute. The Vet came in with Liz and she was ignoring eye contact with me which whatever at this point I rather not have her there. The Vet then proceeded to tell me my Cats name was from Hello Kitty. His name is Totoro and when I told her it wasn't she tried to say it was? What? My cat has a chipped canine that he's had since I adopted him from Petco yet it doesn't bother him and Petco was aware if this. They have quoted me a few grand on this and said it would probably be cheaper at another Vet. The current Vet brought up the tooth and I told her they quoted me a few grand before for extraction and Liz immediately quipped in with Its only 1,000. Not that much. Again, this was all previous information given to me. If it was 'not that much' I would have taken care of it for him already. They took him back for his shots after that and I got out of there quickly. I have never felt so furious before. I'm greatful for everything petco Vet service has done for my boy before but I will not be coming back.
