My dog Cora was well taken care of. She had her doggie Physical and annual tooth exam. She had to be put under anesthesia. She was very tired when she got home. Thankfully the office instructed me on how to feed her. She’s doing welll❤️

They lost my dog while he was in their care!! I have been an optimum wellness plan member here, paying almost $100 per month in the trust that Banfield takes care of our pets. They lost my dog & didn't even bother to reach out as I searched. My dog was lost for over 24 hours & during this period, not one Banfield employee bothered to print posters, despite the fact that they are quite literally next to a Staples store. I had to run around and get posters printed while panicking and trying to find my dog. A few hours into my search, I went back into the Banfield store & had to give them posters to put up; not a single person on their staff cared to even try to communicate to local businesses about the lost pet. I frantically put up posts on all social media(facebook, ring, nextdoor, handing out posters) which Banfield promised they would do, but never actually did. They had one sad nextdoor neighbor post which didn't even have a description of my dog. When my sister called Banfield & demanded to speak to a manger to ask for resources to assist, they nonchalently said that they could not have a dedicated resource to assist and had asked their nurses to check during their breaks or post work. That is crazy and ridiculous! In fact I saw the vet tech who lost my dog, on a smoke break outside literally 2 hours after my dog was lost. I saw one kind employee who drove around after her shift was over. The fact that management asked them to do this on their own time is what angers me! I I am writing this review to warn pet parents' to advocate for their pets when bringing them here & ensure that management takes my concerns seriously about their facility. Please do not trust anyone to properly handle your pet. They claim they have a double leash policy, but this was a complete fail, because their vet tech dropped the leash while transporting my dog. My dog had been sick and not eating and due to the stress of the situation ran out of the facility and out the sliding glass doors onto the highest car traffic area in Tracy. As a pet parent, I put my trust in Banfield that they had the proper trained staff to handle my pet and that they had proper protocols and procedures in place to handle such types of events. With this trust I complied with their requests to remove my own harness on my dog which had his tracking devices and entrusted them that their two leash policy was safe. The provided slip leashes not only did not work, they also put my dog in danger of suffocation while he was lost and could have been entangled. Even the grooming station next door has a double door policy, to ensure that pets are safe during harness removal during pickup/drop-off. Sadly the vet office, which deals with sick pets, did not have this & when I explained this to the manager (who called me a week later) she was confused about my concerns. I clearly explained that we are being forced to drop off & pick up our pets while trying to remove/put on their leashes with a clearly open set of sliding glass doors and no protocol to lock down the facility for a lost pet. The staff were frazzled & did not know how to lock down the facility during incidents like this, giving scared and sick pets an option to escape. We also learned that this is not the first pet to have escaped from this location. The local community & my family's efforts for 20+ hours was the reason we found our dog & we hope to ensure this type of situation never happens again. The stress of this situation is not one we, nor any pet parent should have experienced. The amount of effort put in printing posters, driving around and offering rewards to sightings was a level of trauma that was unnecessarily experienced due to management negligence. Banfield promised so many things including that they would pay any expenses incurred by me & my family and it has been silence for the last 2 months from them. It was all empty promises and disappointment. We hope to have commitment from Banfield to update their procedures to secure their animals and pets.

Caution: BANFIELD is an aggressive debt collector and do not provide reasonable options. The care for my dog was ok. The service of the account was and continues to be a horrible experience. Automated payment plans help BANFIELD, not you!
