The staff there was great! The Vet was great! Having a senior dog she tested his rear legs in a way that no Vet has done before. And at the end of the visit I didn't feel ripped off as I have felt in the new world of vets who rip off their customers with pricing all over the place. I would recommend Vetco in Torrance to anyone looking for a fair, easy and clean location.

Vet Co not a serious or organized Veterinary Office. It is really more for vaccines than actual care. It is a tiny little wonky section of Pet Co that doesn't answer their phones and often routes calls to a central pet co number so when you call you are talking to random people in another state or even country just taking messages. I tried calling today and their prompt was to press 2 and it said "invalid entry" and the poor girl at Pet Co had to walk over to their clinic and hand them the phone. My dog was diagnosed with diabetes last year and was prescribed her insulin and injection needles and when I went to order them two weeks ago Vet Co denied my valid prescription because my original Vet was no longer there. They said they require a new 500.00 appointment to reassess her after I already paid 1500.00 for her original prescription - that again - is still valid. That is so irresponsible and so scary because it is so dire if she doesn't have her insulin. Thankfully I have another excellent Vet at Access Vet Hospital - which is an excellent hospital and clinic, who came through and okayed the prescription or I would have been held hostage for another unnecessary appointment for 500.00 at Vet Co because they don't retain their Vets or have other vets that can step in with any kind of cohesive team work. If you have a dog that needs anything more than a vaccine - VetCo is not the place for you. I called the California Veterinary Medical Board in complete shock my prescription would be denied when it is valid, and they were also shocked I was being forced to have a whole new appointment to the tune of 500.00 and I have filed a complaint. As a dog Mom who has already spent 15,000 on my dogs care I have experience with who is and who is not an organized, well functioning office and I do NOT recommend VetCo. I am so thankful for Access for stepping in and saving my dog. Also, Dr. Grey, the VetCo Vet, left in April, and there was no notice from anyone at VetCo that my prescriptions would not be filled. It is very disorganized and they are not able to handle important details and if your dog is dependent on their meds, this office is too haphazard and unserious, and they are very rude about it. They are only open on certain days, you can't reach them directly, it often takes over 24 hours for them to get back to you, and if there is any kind of emergency they are not able to handle it. Trust me on this. Your pets deserve better than this unprofessional office and VetCo will end up being more expensive than serious Vet Hospitals because of their lack of a cohesive team and having to make up for their lack of communication with extra visits. Seriously, what the heck. I do not recommend at all. Lastly, when I was describing my situation at Vet Co while at my other Vets, they also expressed Vet Co is a not serious office and is really mostly a vaccine clinic.

Don’t go here go anywhere else if you care about your animals. They require my dog to go in so I can get a refill on her prescription. When she is perfect fine. They want to extort me for a $70 check up when I only need a refill

We brought in our 4 month kitten who we recently adopted for a wellness check. From the moment we went in the receptionist, the lady who brought us into the room, and Dr. Jackson were so kind. They made our visit for both our kitten and us pleasurable. Dr. Jackson was especially friendly with our kitten and answered all our questions + made recommendations/reassured us. We found everything very clean and the price for wellness, vaccine, nail trimming, and prevention is very reasonable. I would recommend this vet to any pet parent. We will definitely bring both our cats here for any of their vet needs. Thank you!!
