I can’t say enough wonderful things about the caring humans who work at Studio City Animal Hospital. We love Dr.Stein and all the lovely staff. Thank you to Autumn who made Maeby this adorable certificate after her surgery. Great people, great care.

Did you guys get bought out by private equity? Care has gone down tremendously while prices have gone up. I’m truly saddened because this used to be the vet for my dog, and many family/friends that I’ve referred. Please do better and do not use dr. Stein. She is very biased against certain colored dogs!

Pedro my Vellow Nape loves them! He is so well behaved with them and acts coyishly shy.
I can’t recommend Ginger enough! We were so nervous about our pup’s first teeth cleaning since she had to go under anesthesia, but Ginger was incredibly kind, patient, and reassuring. She explained everything clearly and updated us as soon as the procedure was done.
Before coming here, we even consulted a clinic that specializes in dental cleanings. They quoted us an outrageous amount and recommended extracting multiple teeth, which felt excessive. That experience made us even more grateful for Ginger and the team at Studio City Animal Hospital. They are honest, professional, and truly have your pet’s best interest in mind.
They’ve been taking care of both of my dogs for the past six years, and we wouldn’t go anywhere else. Thank you for always taking such great care of our pups!
Update after their response which is false:
Unfortunately, the explanation provided does not reflect what occurred during my appointment.
Before the service began, I specifically asked the price for a nail service and was quoted $30. I also mentioned that I prefer filing rather than clipping, which was acknowledged. At no point during the appointment was I told that a different or higher-priced service was being performed, nor was any price change discussed.
My receipt reflects a standard pedicure, which aligns with what was communicated at the time. Six weeks later I received an anonymous message stating that a more expensive service had actually been performed and that the correct price should have been $60. That message directly contradicts both the receipt and what was discussed during the visit.
To clarify, the concern is not about being charged more, as you note that the lower price was honored as it should be. The concern is that a client should not be contacted weeks later about an internal billing or coding discrepancy, particularly in a way that revises the service history after the fact.
Clear communication and confirmation of services and pricing at the time of the appointment would have prevented the situation entirely. I hope the clinic improves its internal processes so that future clients receive clear and consistent information during their visit.
Orignial review:
I’m finding that this place is a bit unprofessional and disorganized.
I wanted to like this clinic, but the communication and professionalism need serious improvement.
At my last visit they threw a pedi on there without me asking. I specifically asked the price for a nail service and was quoted $30. I also expressed that I prefer filing rather than clipping and they agreed. My receipt afterward reflected a standard pedicure.
Six weeks later I received an anonymous email from “quality control” (no name or signature) stating the service was actually a more expensive dremel and that the real price should have been $60, but they would not charge me this time. Aside from the fact that you obviously cannot retroactively change a price a month and a half later, my receipt does not even match what they are claiming was performed.
Clients should not be contacted about internal billing or coding errors after the fact, and especially not in a way that rewrites the service history. That is something that should be handled within the clinic. If the service and price had been clearly communicated at the appointment, this would not exist as an issue.
He was also in and out in about 10 minutes, so a $60 charge for nail filing, which they are now stating is the correct price, seems unreasonable.
Between the unclear pricing, delayed follow-up, and anonymous messaging, the experience felt disorganized and unprofessional.
I hope the clinic improves communication and confirms services and pricing before performing them so future clients don’t run into the same situation.
