After check in, and after putting the leash on him to take him back, they asked to confirm medications and stated they do not take dogs for grooming on medications. He has had baths at other Petco locations before without issues. They said this location has site specific policies they will “get in trouble” for violating. There is no indication on the website of medication restrictions and staff were unable to provide one. Manager declined to speak with me.

My puppy isn’t a yappy dog at all—he’s super chill, lets anyone handle him, and is basically a little angel. But the manager, Michelle, insisted that because today he’s exactly four months old, he now needs a rabies shot before they’ll do anything. The irony? He can’t even get that shot yet because he’s only two pounds and too young to actually receive it. If I had come literally yesterday, no problem, they would have trimmed his nails. Today? A hard no, just because of hitting that four-month mark. Pure nonsense—this is exactly the kind of inflexibility that just leaves you shaking your head.
