It has been an emotional weekend but I wanted to give a major thank you and review for this vet. Our almost 14 year old chiweenie mix was struggling and we knew in our gut that something was wrong. Our normal vet wouldn't have been able to get us an appointment right away. I went online and I was able to secure an appointment the same day that he was starting to take a turn for the worse. I would be lying if I said I was not apprehensive about going to this vet considering the fact that it would be corporate aligned with Petco. I'm used to smaller vets with a more personal touch. My goodness was I wrong. The staff was nothing short of amazing and caring. Our sweet boy was really suffering and the doctor gave him a quick examination and recommended that we do some blood work. I was even more impressed that they were able to do blood work in house within an hour and have results. While the results were not positive, the doctor was incredibly empathetic. She called me and really wanted me to come in person so she could share what would ultimately be very sad news, that our old man was suffering and not doing well. Unfortunately I was unable to come in in person at that time but I could tell even in her tone and how she delivered her message she cared and was so warm as I started to cry over the phone. We then came in to say our goodbyes. Considering the circumstances I couldn't have asked for anything more amazing. I was expecting sterile and cold and it was the opposite! They had pillows on the bench, a sound machine, a blanket on the table and a rug laid out for us to sit with him on the floor. They gave him pain meds to make him comfortable and had him wrapped up like a baby in a soft blue blanket. They offered us the room for the ENTIRE time til they closed and didn't rush us through anything. They offered our Snoopy boy a pup cup, water and treats (even though he didn't want them sadly). When we were ready there was a button we could push and they came in. The doctor got on the floor with us while we held our sweet boy and administered the medication. And then from that point forward there was no rush even if we wanted to stay with him after. Well this was not a happy story, I want to give a huge thank you to this vet and the staff. I could not have asked for a better experience considering the circumstances. Thank you so much for helping us through a really hard time with our dog, making us and our dog feel supported, loved and comfortable. Truly a phenomenal experience all things considered.

I normally go to the Vetco closer to my home, but they did not have an appointment available on the day I needed it. The Santa Clarita location was able to fit me in at the end of the day. It turned out our dear cat had cancer that had spread to his brain and needed euthanizing. The staff there was so supportive and kind to us. They made what can be a very trying experience very peaceful and calm. Highly recommend this location and this vet.

I am extremely disappointed with the care my puppy received at this clinic. I brought my dog in for an acute eye issue involving redness, inflammation, and the third eyelid after a known chemical exposure. Instead of focusing on diagnosing and treating the current problem, the veterinarian appeared unsure how to proceed and suggested unnecessary blood work and unrelated testing that had nothing to do with the immediate eye concern. No clear diagnosis, explanation, or treatment plan was provided. I specifically asked whether eye drops were needed to protect my puppy’s eye and reduce inflammation and was told none would be given. I left the appointment with no medication, no actionable guidance, and no confidence that my pet’s eye had been properly evaluated. Eye issues require timely and focused care. Being dismissed while being encouraged to pay for unrelated tests, and then sent home without treating the actual problem, was frustrating and concerning. I am now seeking care elsewhere to ensure my puppy receives appropriate treatment. I hope this feedback is taken seriously. Pet owners deserve competent, focused care and clear communication especially for something as delicate and time-sensitive as an eye injury.

Roberto, the manager at the clinic, was incredibly helpful in obtaining blood work results for my dogs. The process wasn't easy and he went out of his way to follow up several times with the lab and other third party vendor knowing the time crunch I was in. Thank you for all your help, Roberto!
