  Our dog was urinating blood and extremely nauseous. We rushed to redwood and asked for assistance. Keep in mind is says 24/7 emergency care. The Dr. told me we just don’t have time… I said we’re the only people here… she replied I have a lot of appointments today and am short staffed. I just can’t help you. I was in shock. I hopped on the freeways and went to VCA who immediately took vitals, and got our puppy the medicine and help she needed. Honestly I’m appalled at Redwood and think they need to be audited. 1 star isn’t low enough.

  They were knowledgeable and very helpful with our cat. He’s much better after the treatment.

  I went in because my dog had an abscess. I was prescribed 5 days of antibiotics. On the 5th day the abscess was almost gone, I called in to get a refill and they told me no. They said even though it was 90% healed they refused to write me another $9 prescription. They said it should have been completely gone by now. They gave me an ultimatum of paying $2000 to start with, and to expect the bill to become higher “higher in the thousands”. I said I’d like to try another 5 days of antibiotics before I drop 3 weeks worth of pay on something that is almost healed. So basically this vet refused care for my dog, when all they had to do was refill a prescription, they would rather your dog die then not get there precious money. I wouldn’t recommend this vet to any one. This is completely irresponsible care. Iv never seen a vet refuse care, especially when the medication was actually working. I hope they feel good about what there doing. Ultimately it’s my dog, and is my decision if I want to try another round of antibiotics. I don’t know why she thinks she gets to decide my dogs fate. I despise this company, let me ask you, would try the $9 fix if was working, before you dropped $2000 Pluse dollars on you animal. Since when are vets allowed to refuse care anyways. Those employees should all be ashamed to work there. Its I know it’s the vet who’s in charge, but it’s pathetic and disgusting they would rather an animal suffer rather than write it a prescription. If you take your animal here this is the treatment your gonna get.

  I am traveling and I needed to find a walk in vet on a Saturday. After calling a handful of vet offices, I found Redwood Veterinary Clinic. They were able to see my pet within an hour. I am extremely impressed with the service we received. They were kind, thorough, knowledgeable and they kept me well informed throughout the visit. They provided me with in house medications, so I was pleasantly surprised that I didn’t need to make a pharmacy stop. The vet tech explained and demonstrated how to use the 6 new prescriptions that were prescribed. By the time we left my pet was feeling much better. And the super cool bonus was that our emergency visit didn’t break the bank! I don’t live in Santa Rosa, but if I did…Redwood Veterinary Clinic would be our vet for life!

  I’ve come here several times with multiple emergencies and have always gotten the best care. They are always super transparent about testing, care, treatment, etc. They always call with updates about my pets too if they’re being treated emergently and always answer my questions. I’m considering moving to them as my full time vet clinic because I’ve always had such a good experience.
