Instead, she was given a full teddy bear cut, which significantly shortened her coat. I was very clear about my request. For Pomeranians, coat integrity is extremely important. I previously had another dog who developed alopecia, which was a very difficult experience. Because of that, I have always been cautious about shortening Marie’s coat. This is why I was so upset — not just because of appearance, but because I am genuinely worried about how her coat will grow back. I appreciate the 20% refund that was offered, but I hope in the future there is clearer communication before making significant changes to a dog’s coat, especially with sensitive breeds.
