  This post is regarding Bri (only groomer I have seen) I’ve been bringing my dog Koda to Petco for grooming with Bri, and I couldn’t be happier. Koda absolutely loves her! He gets so excited every time we walk in, and he’s honestly a great judge of character. Bri is kind, patient, and really knows how to make dogs feel comfortable. She always takes her time with Koda and makes sure he’s calm and happy, and he comes back looking and smelling amazing every time. It’s such a relief knowing he’s in good hands with someone who genuinely cares. Highly recommend Bri if you want someone who treats your dog like their own!

  It did not go well from the start. When we dropped off our dog (a pug), they had us take off his harness and put on a choker leash. They should’ve put it around his body but instead they put it around his neck. They told us to leave and they’d call us when he’s ready. As we were leaving, they tried pulling him in, which was choking him, instead of just picking him up. They were pulling him so hard it was literally choking him to the point his eyes were turning red. This is not good. Especially for a pug. It’s well known that you should never use a collar/leash on a pug as it can collapse their trachea. You should only ever use a harness. Every time I’ve taken him in elsewhere, they’d wrap it around his body and one leg as a type of harness. So it did not go well. Then when it was time to pick him up, the groomer, Bri, was so so so rude. She was all snippy with us saying they weren’t able to trim all his nails (probably because they made him supper anxious from the start with the choking) and so she gave us a coupon…ok. But then she tried blaming us saying it’s because we haven’t brought him in, in 3 years and she said it with such attitude like we are bad dog parents. I wanted to snap at her and tell her how we’ve been bringing him elsewhere, but brought him back to Petco this time because they had an opening soonest. But I just kept my mouth shut because I don’t like confrontation and just wanted to get my dog back. If they were this rude to me, I can’t even imagine how they treated my baby. So then she tells me I needed to pay before she’d give him to me, so I’m waiting to check out and no one is there. I’m waiting like 5 minutes for someone to check me out and then finally someone comes but here on his cellphone talking for a long time. As this is taking place the groomer gives my dog back to my fiancé. After I pay, I went back to the groomer area to give her, her cash tip. She comes out so rude again, blurting out “what do you want now?!” With so much attitude. I told her I was just trying to give her the tip….i should’ve said guess you don’t want your tip after dealing with all her attitude but I just gave it to her. When we got home I could see they didn’t clean his ears either when they were supposed too. It’s very apparent this groomer doesn’t like her job with how she treats her customers, either that or she was having a bad day. Anyone who knows me, knows I’m one of the nicest people there is. And my dog is like my baby. I don’t have the best health and he’s been with me through my brain tumors and treatments and surgeries. And it took all my energy just to take him in. It was an awful experience for both me and my pug. I could tell when we picked him up that they weren’t nice to him at all as he was so anxious still and not happy. Just not a good experience.
