Took my dog here for the first and LAST time because our vet of 18 years passed away. The reviews don't truly represent this business.
Our appointment was for a general check up, we were on time and expected maybe a 10 minute wait, tops. The longer we waited, the more it seemed like we'd never see a vet but you keep thinking it can't POSSIBLY be much longer...and then you've already invested 45 minutes into the wait and you feel like you MUST BE next to see the vet... Our dog gets carsick so even getting him to the vet is a challenge. AN HOUR later, the vet tech strolled in. No apologies, no explanation.
When my small dog was barking, she got scared and left. She brought the vet in after another wait. After advertising a nearly $400 "wellness package" for our healthy dog, we politely declined their recommended full-panel testing (since he is a healthy 1 year old dog with no issues at all). He's our 4th dog so we aren't new to having fur babies. It seemed like an unnecessary, unwarranted test for a healthy, active, puppy, we didn't want to poke and prod where it wasn't needed.
The vet requested to take him to the back where medical staff are the only ones permitted. I'm not sure what they did with him because we were not told anything about our puppy's health. He was kept for 20 minutes and then returned with a long receipt of price options: for the wellness package, without the package, just a check-up, etc. Although they advertise a visit as being $45, there is a $14 "medical waste disposal fee" mandatory for all patients. Whether or not any procedures were done. Although we weren't told about the health of our puppy, or even the weight, we were charged $59. That is the baseline for the visit. It would be a good price, if it included everything a normal visit should (like a weigh-in, checking ears, physical, temperature check, and anal gland secretion). When we asked for an anal gland secretion, they declined and said it would be "too stressful" for our dog that they had just stated was no longer barking and had calmed down considerably. But the blood test in their "wellness package" was apparently not considered stressful.
After another wait that felt like an eternity, we were finally charged for the visit and left. In all our time there, we only saw a single vet and single vet tech coming and going from the rooms.
In conclusion, the lack of time-management, lack of communication regarding delays in appointments, and the pushing of unnecessary medical testing while refusing routine procedures gives this business a 1-star review. The 1 star is for the fact that it's about $5 cheaper than our previous vet (who was phenomenal and did everything mentioned above for a flat rate of $65, giving all information regarding the health of your puppy, allowing questions about that information, and never making you wait longer than 5 minutes without notice. Maybe my expectations need to be adjusted. That's up to you to decide, kind reader.)
On 03/08/26, I had an appointment for my dog for a routine check up at 8:30 AM. The receptionist walked us into one of the rooms and we waited for an hour for a vet, Dr Freddy Maza. We overheard the receptionist tell another customer that a vet called out the day before so they had to push all of his appointments onto the next day. The receptionist did not inform us that we would have to wait this long. When the vet did see us, he explained that my dog would have to be taken into another room because my dog was barking too much and too protective at the time. The vet took my dog into a separate room. The vet came back later on to tell us that my dog is now more cooperative and asked us why we brought my dog in. We explained that we only needed a check up to get flea medications prescribed. He then started to tell us about heartworms and all the tests that came with it. We said we would think about it while they get the prices ready for us. The vet left and that was the last thing we had heard from him. He did not tell me anything about my dog’s check up, did not say if he was healthy or not, did not talk about his weight, did not give me any results about the check up. His tech came back to tell us about the costs of the visit. They wanted to charge us approx $350 in order to take a blood test of my dog for the heartworm test. We declined the test, we decided we only wanted flea meds, but we asked if they can do an anal gland expression on my dog instead. The tech walked out of the room and asked the vet but the vet declined because it would stress my dog out more. They were fine with “stressing him out more” when there was a $350 blood test involved but did not want to be bothered for an anal gland expression. We finally walked out of the room and we were charged $45 for new client check up fee and $15 for medical waste. I was a little confused about why I was being charged for medical waste when they did not even tell me anything about my dog, so I asked the receptionist what exactly medical waste is. Per the receptionist, “medical waste” consists of gloves, disposable plastic that they check dog’s ears with, paper towels, etc. They charged me $15 for something I did not even see them do nor heard any results that they even did it. By the end of the appointment (mind you, it is now 10 AM), I paid $60 for a whole lot of nothing and terrible service. At least we got our flea medication prescription though, that is the one thing they got right.
