  Marisa the dog trainer changed our lives. Carter our rescue dog was always a sweetheart, but managing him was really stressful and I really questioned my sanity about rescuing a dog. I wasn’t sure if we were ever going to handle it. Now when I walk him, he walks right by my side and I feel like I have this furry companion. I’m not a total anxious mess whenever my mom takes him out that’s all because of Marisa. We have a completely different relationship with him now and it’s really awesome. Marisa is such a blessing to our crazy little family. Thank you so much.

  This store is a scam. A dewormer pill that costs $6 online, costs $100 at this store. I'm never going to set foot in a Petco store every again, because of this rip off.

  This review is in regards to the dog training program offered at this Petco location, and more particularly, our trainer. We did 4 private training sessions with Marisa and our recently rescued 2 yo blue heeler. I have nothing but great things to say about our experience with Marisa and would highly recommend her to anyone interested in learning how to train their dog and up their obedience game. We learned so much in our 4 sessions together including how to break down commands into digestible components, proper use of positive reinforcement, learning how to increase focus through distractions, etc. She brought so much energy, knowledge, and adaptability to each session making it fun and engaging for both dog and owner (she is known by our dog as "the treat goddess"). We came out of each session with more confidence and a broadened toolkit to help us navigate having such an intelligent and high energy dog. Additionally, the price was more than competitive compared to other options we were researching. I can't recommend Petco's (but particularly Marisa's) dog training services enough.

  I was at Petco because my dog had an appointment scheduled for 10:30 a.m. I arrived at the store at 10:37 a.m. However, my dog was pulling me in the opposite direction because she knew she was going in for a bath, which made it difficult to get her inside. I eventually had to carry her into the store. When I reached the Bath & Grooming desk, a young man and a young woman asked what time my appointment was. I informed them it was at 10:30 a.m., and I was told that because I was late, my appointment would need to be rescheduled. My understanding is that, similar to medical appointments, there is usually a grace period of about 15 minutes. It was not my intention to be late. I spent approximately five minutes looking for parking and another five minutes getting my dog out of the car and into the store. I believe your employees would benefit from additional training in customer service and understanding the challenges pet owners may face. I chose to remain calm and simply say thank you, but I will be taking my business elsewhere. Customer service should take into consideration that some pet owners genuinely struggle to bring their pets into the store, and flexibility and empathy go a long way.
